<table><tr><td>Impact Ratings: Knockouts Outdraw Entire Show, Prevent Year-Low Rating

The Knockouts battle royal on Thursday's Impact Wrestling episode blew away the rest of the show and prevented Impact from falling below last week's year-low 1.06 rating.

Thursday's Impact scored a 1.06 rating off a first hour 1.02 rating and second hour 1.10 rating, aided by a 1.23 rating in the fifth quarter-hour for the Knockouts battle royal.

TNA's fifth quarter-hour is typically the highest-rated segment each week, but the Knockouts segment doubled the average growth from Q4 to Q5. In 2011, the Q4 to Q5 growth was 9.5 percent. This week's show saw an 18.3 percent increase.

The only quarter-hour close to the Knockouts this week was Q8, which scored a 1.11 rating for the post-main event angle involving Bully Ray, James Storm, and NFL player Brandon Jacobs, followed by the latest Bobby Roode-Sting confrontation.</td><td>

I try not to get caught up in the ratings game - mostly because it's up and down like a penny stock - but in this case I'm gonna make an exception. Why you ask? Simply because women's wrestling is so often maligned by internet peeps that I thought the gals should get credit for doing something right.</td></tr></table>
