Let's see if I can clarify the last tutorial

Needed programs (All links are in the "easy way to change music" tutorial except Audacity and DKZ. Those are easy to find though:

DKZ Studio
ADX Converter

Part 1:ADX Converter

First you want to open the song to convert (I am using AJ's "Right Now" theme, as the AJ mod I am making is geek AJ) in ADX Converter. Switch the first dropdown to "MP3" and then look for the song, in this case "Right Now". Change the second dropdown at the bottom to "24000" and the first one to "Mono". You will now, with the same setting, change "MP3" to "WAV", and do it again. Change the second dropdown that should say "WAV. Change that to "ADX" with these settings:

First Dropdown: L & R Mono
Second Dropdown: 24000 khz

Part 2: DKZ Studio and UltraISO

Finally, into DKZ. This is where we will import the file. After that is done, reimport your music file into the ISO. I use UltraIso ( I had to torrent it as its not free, so I can't link you). But then, save your iso. Play it and if it works, hoorah! (Miz reference haha) You now have Right Now or whatever song you chose in the game. If it's an entrance song, go test it in the entrance menu.

Hope this tutorial is as clear as the other one, if not more so. I do thank the original tutorial writer. Just thought I'd expand more as his was a bit confusing (No offense)

Out of curiosity, is there any reason both this tutorial and the other tutorial use 24000kHz and Mono sound? The game natively uses 48000kHz and Stereo.

It can be a pain in the a**, but it's weird things like that which put AFS Explorer over Dkz for me. Puyo Tools is another good alternative.

For some reason, my game ALWAYS freezes on the vs screen with custom music in, even when the music is chopped to one minute

Chances are the AFS index, and the ADXs in the AFS are misaligned. Sometime when you go for automatic resizes (in AFS-E not DkZ) it corrupts the index and or archive.
