Kenny Omega WILL STAY in New Japan.

Kenny Omega the other day stepped into the Wrestling Observer's radio studio to announce to the world he is close to resigning with New Japan Pro Wrestling for a year, and he will not be making an apperance at WWE's Royal Rumble event tomorrow night. The following is an excerpt of Omega's desicion:

"I don't want people to have this false hope of me showing up in the Royal Rumble and then not being there and being disappointed when there's a fantastic match happening with fantastic competitors. I don't want the lack of me being in that to disappoint people."

Omega also mentions later on in the interview that the roster for WWE is hot and full of guys who have shined through, saying he feels now is not the best time for him to hope on board and that he can make more of an impact where he is at now with NJPW and ROH.

I've been a Kenny Omega supporter for awhile now, and I fully agree with Omega's decision to stay at second base and not give up his position as a top guy in NJPW. Kenny has expressed a dream goal of his would be to be on the main stage of Wrestlmania and have an amazing bout with former Bullet Club member AJ Styles, but he would be worried of being lost in the sea of talent right now. It's better for him to keep his outlandish and quirky style of a character in Japan than have the possibility of losing it in WWE.
