Quote:

WrestleCast as part of The Sun in the UK is featuring an interview with TNA star Kurt Angle who claims WWE was considering having him end The Undertaker's streak at Wrestlemania 22 back in 2006:

Angle said: "It was considered back in 2006. The person who wanted to do it was Undertaker himself. I was flattered, for him to go to Vince McMahon and pitch it. Undertaker at that point never had a five-star Wrestlemania moment match. He figured that the only one he could do it was me, at the time. Thank God a couple of years later he had Shawn Michaels, and it worked. But Undertaker really wanted to have that match, he asked Vince to push our match back from No Way Out to WrestleMania and, since I was champion they wanted me to keep the title, Undertaker was willing to take the loss. To me that meant a lot because Undertaker had a lot of respect for me — and I had more respect for him than he did for me."[/quote]

LMAO. If HHH & HBK could not take Undertaker's steak what makes him think he could? What a BS jabronni Angle is. :D

Because Angle is more a greater wrestler than HHH and HBK.

That's true Angle is one of the greatest wrestlers alive and unlike Triple H and Michaels he doesn't mind to put other wrestlers over.
I remember he wanted to start a feud with Amazing Red but TNA Management didn't want it.

I heard a rumor that Orton was supposed to end it at Wrestlemania 21 but Orton didn't want to go over since he didn't think he was the person to do it.

Partially true. It was Bob Orton, Jr. (Randy's father) that talked the WWE and Randy out of it. Randy wanted to end the streak, but he only changed his mind a month AFTER that WrestleMania.

Kurt Angle versus the Undertaker at WrestleMania would have been one of the greatest main events of all time. And think, it would have been a World Title Match too! It would not have mattered if Angle did beat Undertaker.

But instead, we got Undertaker versus.... Mark Henry?

As if that wasn't bad enough, they buried Angle and the World Title just 2 weeks before WrestleMania. At Saturday Night's Main Event, Angle, Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton took on Triple H and John Cena in a handicap match. Triple H walked out on Cena, but Cena STILL WON. The Raw Champion beat the top three men on Smackdown at once? Way to promote both main events.

It's going to be James who is going to end The Undertaker's streak.... <<<Just stupidly sayin' ... Taker's streak will never end.. maybe he will retire after making it 20-0 at WM.

Taker will more than likely retire either at this WM or the next. He has nothing to prove, and his legacy will live on forever anyway. A backstage job in the WWE is a for sure and along with HHH is one of the most powerful guys in the lockeroom.

Now Kurt is one of the few, legit guys who I felt could have defeated the Undertaker at WM, but I honestly feel Taker will not be defeated and his streak will remain intact when he retires.

The streak is too valuable. It would be like going an entire year, WrestleMania to WrestleMania, without a Royal Rumble match.

Undertaker's physical capability is severely limited. His 20th match means so much more than his last few could. But there is no way that his 21st could be bigger than his 20th. In reality, Undertaker does not need to hang in there. His body is done. He has given his best and more. He has enough money to retire comfortably. And his career will collect royalties for years to come. Even Michelle McCool has quit now that she knows her husband isn't around for her to sponge off his backstage reputation.

I just hope that the WWE finds a worthy opponent next WM. Triple H did not deserve another match with the Undertaker.

At this time, Kane is the only active WWE star who I can think of that would give us a proper conclusion to Undertaker's career.

I think Miz has never lost a single match at WrestleMania ... So WWE would make him go on undefeated for a couple of years
