Jerry Lawler is due to return to RAW in 2 weeks, when the show will be live from Columbus, Ohio.
The announcement was actually spoiled by Jim Ross. Ross noted that the WWE would be making an announcement on RAW regarding Lawler's return, but did not say when. It is unlikely that Ross will face any kind of warning for the spoiler.
The announcement was made RAW and immediately repeated on their website. They did not say that Lawler would be returning to announce. He will likely address the crowd himself in the opening segment. We won't know for certain what his future is until then.
Lawler has been out of action after suffering a heart attack live on air. The initial incident was bad that some people believed that he had started experiencing a stroke, and this triggered the heart attack. And then there was serious concern that he had suffered some brain damage, because his brain had been starved of oxygen for so long due to the heart not pumping blood. We have since learned that things were never that bad, but they were very serious none the less. He has had an operation to put a stint into his veins.
