I love how this report says the archeologists used Plato's "detailed account" of Atlantis. Uh, reality check: There was never a detailed account of it, it was mentioned in one single ancient text, and was regarded as a re-telling of an old fable.

As Alan Cameron states: "It is only in modern times that people have taken the Atlantis story seriously; no one did so in antiquity".

Now, the city that was found outside of Spain IS extremely interesting, though. I LOOOOOOOOVE ancient cities! The ones they have been finding just outside the Cuban islands are awesome.

Shame on NBC for contributing to such sensationalism. It takes away from the awesome archeological discovery made.

thanks for the news wildforce, i read the news, i want to also see the documentary,
but i still believe that atlantis was somewhere near Santorini island (great place for summer holidays
