Today AW (manager of Prime Time Players) was released:

"AWPromotions is no more ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for your
support and hate, it's been a great run. Now I get to do me which isn't
PG! ... @TitusONeilWWE & @DarrenYoungWWE thank you for allowing me
to speak on your behalf. You guys are the best and I'm glad to call u my
friends! ... I've offended the wrong people that taught me how to have
ATTITUDE It was the #WWE that made me bold and now it has turned it's
back on me ... Let this be a lesson to up and coming talent in the WWE
don't try and be great like the Rock or Stone Cold. WWE isn't the
same... ... Just be normal shut up and be a yes man so you can collect
your check and feel like your special. #SELLOUTS!! ... I remember a time
when the WWE didn't care about breaking the mold but now everyone is so
afraid of their own shadow. #RemeberTheFans ... Thanks to the fans who
showed me support over the whole Kobe thing and to those I upset I
apologize again. Remember It's entertainment folks."

To be honest, I am surprised that they kept him this long, having done so little with him over the years.

To me, he wasn't worth keeping. But I agree with his points. He was fired for one inappropriate comment. The WWE claims that there were others, but someone would have reported them if that was true. He was fired because of Linda McMahon's senate campaign.

His comment was hardly the worst thing that was done on WWE programming lately.

I have not one ounce of sympathy for the guy, he has no one to blame but himself. Not Linda's campaign, not WWE being PG, but his own stupid actions.

Normally, I would agree with such a comment. But Big Show went unpunished for making the same reference shortly after the rape incident actually happened.

If he was released for it, I would feel the exact same way about him as I do Washington. Oh, and Washington's Twitter rant make me not care he is gone even more. Bryan Danielson was released for the tie choking incident, he didn't go on Twitter ranting and raving like a moron. He just went and did some Indy dates, and was eventually brought back. Now he is (To me at least) the most entertaining thing in wrestling. That is a person taking responsibility for his actions, and that is someone I respect.

Do not give a shit. Didn't even notice him anyway.

Sure, it seems unfair compared to some who may have done similar things, but in all honesty, Washington was not in the same league as a CM Punk, Show, to get away with it. Not saying its fair, but he is not money atm and certainly not someone you would go "Ohhh, its AW, he is my hero" lol.

He gave WWE a easy reason to clear up the wage bill and push anothe talent.

I thought they had finally got AW in a perfect spot, and his comment shouldn't have got him fired.

If Triple H can rape a dead woman, why can't AW be an effective heel?

I agree with CBV totally in my opinion when i heard him say that it was a good way to get Titus over people can come back after failing numerous drug tests (Randy Orton) and disrespecting the dead but he gets released for a kobe reference that is gay

Neither did Cena, and he still got over. It's the WWE, dude. If they can convince the world that the People's Elbow electrifies and that Lawrence Taylor can wrestle, they can do anything. I was enjoying what they were doing with AW, it made me notice a tag team I never would have... so..... they and he did SOMETHING right.
