Many people within the WWE are unhappy with how Triple H and Stephanie conduct themselves in promos and interviews. By many, this includes management and even Vince McMahon himself.
The feeling is that Triple H and Stephanie are trying too hard to create a "pipe bomb" moment with every single one of their promos. This is why they constantly make references to wrestlers' real lives and their ability to work. The writers gave them outlines, but they decide how everything will pan out. When Triple H makes these personal comments, he typically buries the superstar's ability to perform.
They also don't like how Stephanie acts like one of the toughest people on the roster, knowing that she will never be in a position of peril. But it is believed that Triple H is encouraging her to take this direction. What makes things worse is that Triple H and Stephanie are convinced that they are two of the best talkers in the industry right now.
Wrestlers also hate the long-winded promos that the McMahons do with all of the superstars standing on the stage or around the ring. This allows the McMahons to talk down at all of them for several minutes, and they have to just accept it. This makes the entire roster look collectively weak. It would not be so bad if they did not insist on doing these segments so often these days.
