As seen on Raw this week, Sin Cara returned with a retro look.

Sin Cara has been absent after hurting his hand in a Raw match against Alberto Del Rio. Cara had botched a dive through the ropes and hit his hand against Del Rio's heavily bruised face in the first minute. Cara could not continue the match and has not been seen since. But then he returned, wearing his first ring attire, having gained a lot of weight and sporting a large tattoo on his shoulder. And he amazingly performed a very good match with Del Rio, using a modified move set. His only botch was an Asai Moonsault to the outside which missed Del Rio by an inch, but Cara landed on his own feet and avoided injury.

The man under that mask was actually Hunico. The real Sin Cara is currently in Mexico recovering from injury. Hunico had replaced the original Sin Cara before when the masked man was suspended, but this led to the "Sin Cara Azul vs Sin Cara Negro" feud. The attire that Hunico wore was the Sin Cara attire that he used previously.

Unfortunately, this does not mark a permanent change for Hunico. Despite his talent and hard work, the original Sin Cara will be returning to complete the current push for the character. There are plans for a Sin Cara vs Rey Mysterio match at WrestleMania XXX. There are no plans for Hunico when the original Sin Cara returns, other than to return to NXT. Even thought Hunico is currently in a tag team with Camacho, they are not considered to be a part of the current tag team division.

Hunico previously wrestled in Mexico as Mistico. Sin Cara later stole the gimmick and became famous with it, forcing Hunico to change. This motivated the later story line in which Hunico tried to steal Sin Cara's current gimmick.

So....they expect us to ignore Hunico's huge ass tattoo when the real Sin Cara returns?

EDIT: Oh wait, saw the update, eh, I think Hunico will be a better Sin Cara. But the thing is, he's still going to be referred as the original Sin Cara, isn't he?

I am a fan of Hunico, and I enjoyed his Sin Cara matches. So I am willing to go along with the pretense.

I am not. Its ridiculous and they should ditch the character and let Hunico be just Hunico.

Good residence. He was botchamania like a pro, and as sad as it is, they should just let it go and admit he was a flop.

Not disagreeing with you AKI, but look at the final line in the first post. That is why I would rather see Hunico as Sin Cara. It would be so poetic.

Although, from what I understand, someone else from NXT may start playing Sin Cara soon. Then Hunico will go back to his tag team with Camacho. I didn't report it because I thought 3 Sin Cara updates in 1 day was too much.
