Well it seems NMZ has been closed down by the owner Bootflap. Very sad.

It may have been pretty inactive, but the forum holds many fond memories for me and was a archive of such great contributions from long serving members of that forum.

I really think it could have been kept open as it contained active work that members were contributing to and had some much information on the game, it could have been left as is just so newbies could use the place to learn and hopefully contribute in some form.

We already have a good group of NMZ members at OSR who contribute to this place, but any members who feel they have no where to go now, YOUR WRONG! OSR is open to everyone and if any of you guys who were not members of OSR before, please feel free to sign up here and make a new home here.

I am not happy about this at all, but there is always a alternative whether its us or another forum.

OSR will stay open as long as we have members here and contributions in some form.

Thats all I want to say really, so yeah!

Are you sure it was Bootflap who closed it? CE told me both he and Bootflap hadn't been active at NMZ in around a year and that whatever happened, happened without their consent.

Such a shame, anyway. I've met a lot of cool people from that site and it was always the first place I'd visit when on the internet. It may have been like a ghost town for the past few years, but it was still a great source of information.

Oh well. "All good things" and all...

A LOT of clicdev boards don't exsist anymore, I haven't seen one that's still online. So yeah, clicdev is the problem.

I'm sad that it's gone (for now?); but I'm kinda relieved since it was sad seeing the board so inactive.

I'll always remember the day I joined NMZ because it was the day my first niece was born! Can't believe that was 8 years ago.

I, and a few others have been in discussion on what to do if (the original) NMZ is truly gone. Gotta talk to Boot & CE about it out of respect, but yea, The No Mercy Zone shall rise again...

Gotta talk to Boot & CE about it out of respect, but yea, The No Mercy Zone shall rise again...[/quote]for the love of God, please don't. Especially if the NMZ "attitude" and rules are going to make a return. Im glad the board is gone, as it gives a fair fighting chance to other No Mercy forums to shine with a staff who act like they actually care.

One of the biggest things I could never understand about NMZ is why the admin staff consisted of guys who rarely even logged in.

I'm only doing this now because the board is gone. I'm only one of many who probably didn't feel that they could speak openly about NMZ without fear of being banned at one point. (Think 4 years ago, thankfully this had mellowed out more recently since nWo Mark had more authority. Honestly, one of the most level headed admins i'd seen in a while)

I don't feel that NMZ had any sort of ecclesiastical authority over the modding community, nor a right to a monopoly. I am NOT saying that I think the recent staff before the shutdown felt that way, but I do feel that NMZ died the death of all forums, due to inactivity. IF NMZ was a for-profit business, it would have gone under of its own accord (as Bootflap allegedly had the desire to pull the cord), and no investor in their right mind would revive a business that went under due to bad business practices.

The worst of all offenses was banning anyone who used anything by the Juice, with the exception of a handful of elitists. This stupidity cost me my membership on the forums at one point, as well as a small handful of others. IMO, we all contribute to the forum, and if you've been contributing in ample amounts (especially decent stuff such as mine), you would think that people would give the benefit of the doubt when it comes to accusations of theft, but alas the admins decided to get rid of me without a trial, and i'd been contributing actively for quite some time. People got banned left and right for the stupidest of reasons. Some times simply speaking awful english was enough of an offense. It has left NMZ with an aura of a place to be extremely careful because the "police" were always watching. The more people talk about it, the more a reputation builds, and the less people you see signing up to join. I think in the end, this is what killed the board. A lot of older members left to pursue other hobbies, and the new generation was repeatedly banned or left untrained to replace the veterans. More were leaving than joining. Eventually, you end up with a ghost town.

In a nutshell, I think NMZ had the plug pulled because the forum was no longer growing, and its the blame of each and every member who failed to contribute, and the admin staff who failed to let people join. The place was on the verge of abandonment even 2 years ago.

Don't rebuild. Whatever replaces the old board will only be a figment of what the original board had to offer, and there ARE other No Mercy forums. Just immigrate and blend in. Besides, if its anything like the forum was before it was shut down, it won't be very popular anyway.

Slim how the hell are ya? Professor A.K.I. Gaga's ass looks amazing... Sorry to hear the news about the nomercy board. I'm just thankful that A.K.I invited me over to osr and allowed me to build a reputation for SD2 that wouldn't have been appreciated at thenomercyzone. I did enjoy all of the energy around the hacking community and complete projects.

@Slim - Lol, what does it matter to you? Since you're so hurt by how much NMZ has "wronged you" in the past, it shouldn't matter if a new forum is created or not since OBVIOUSLY it's not a forum you'd want to be a part of. Don't like it, stay away, simple as that. If and when this NMZ situation is resolved, the people who loved and enjoyed NMZ will be more than welcome to be a part of it. That's all I have left to say about the matter as far as the whining goes.

From what I'm reading you seem to think I harbor hard feelings against the forum itself, as if i blame the board. No, I point the fingers at the people directly responsible and I'm glad that those people have moved on to other things, but disappointed that others will continue to share in their attitude.

It doesn't really matter to me if a new forum is created or not. At first it may seem that I'm heavily dismissive of a new NMZ, but that's only because of the way that people acted on that board. I've rarely seen that type of behavior on most other forums I've been on and all I was trying to say is that IF a new NMZ was made, I wouldn't want to be a member if people are still going to act like elitist children. I mean if you're going to do it, I'd just hope that the place would have a more relaxed attitude and less idiots flaming and getting each other banned. I didn't come into this topic to insult anyone so don't think that's what I'm doing. I have a lot of respect for you guys who are still modding the game, whether we like each other or not. Maybe I would even be perceived as less "anti-nmz" if some people would stop drawing lines in the sand and realize that I DO wish this community would flourish. The only definitive fact is that you really don't like me, and that's fine.

And as far as "If you don't like it then stay away", it's not really necessary to throw down an ultimatum. I doubt any of us will go anywhere at some point without not liking at least one thing about the place we are at. I took the shame several years ago for stupidity and i'm still paying for it when I go around people like you on these no mercy forums. I willfully stay away on that alone. But I wish you guys would just leave the old board dead. We don't need more churches preaching the same thing when most of the pews are empty.

Hope the problem with NMZ will be resolve, if not the only thing I hope is there was a backup of all the hacking code post there, because some of them are not available in others boards.

Holy shit NMZ is gone.....?

You mean all those thousands of hacks are gone?

That WWE 2013 Save of the Year edition gone?

Yeah I know they had to keep out the thieves and noobs but didn't they end that years long lockout awhile ago?

Once WWE'12 and '13 got better I guess it wasn't worth begging to be allowed to register anymore.

And again the ENTIRE No Mercy community has to suffer and lose out because of a few people. Hell I wonder how many people even knew the lockout ended.

I really hope they saved all of those hack posts. Too bad they never posted the moves anywhere else. Even the all Youtube clips are just there with no codes.

Well except Halo, God bless his heart.

Man, there's only one person who would have done this right before Christmas.....

R.I.P. NMZ

Guess I'm buying WWE2K14 after all. At least on this site there are forums for it. Maybe the next NMZ site will too.

Might wanna throw in Fire Pro too....

And with Caw Mart virused beyond being able to visit thank God King Kanyon's on this site too.

I don't know if the No Mercy Zone will rise again but at least here the No Mercy Community will still be able to get by without them.

Wow, the NMZ is really dead like Brian Griffin.

So sad :( Been a member of the NMZ for the last 8 years! So glad that this forum keeps some of all those hacks and mods. And the people! I made good friends out there. Though I never understood how there were lots of internet fights. I mean, it's just a video game.

It's a shame that all of those move hacks have been lost, that'll hurt. However, like nWo mark said, there are some things in the works. Also about concern with the WWE 2013-14 save, it is and will remain available here at OSR with future DLC being made available here as well.

I'm sure you can do a history cache of the forum to restore the missing hacks. Good bye old friend.
