Hey guys. Sad the site is gone, although I wasn't around too much anymore. It's sort of weird, considering how much time I'd spent (and wasted) there. Oh well.

Let me get this right. You made a 45 minute video of yourself insulting other people because they insulted?

You called NMZ a website for trolls and ass kissers. I didn't visit NMZ nearly enough to comment or disagree. But OSR is not like that. So we are not going to host any videos blatantly troll or flame other members of the No Mercy modding community. You don't have to kiss their butts either, but we don't want outside hatreds dirtying up our place.

You are just as welcome here as any other No Mercy or SvR modder or wrestling fan. I am not going to suspend or ban you. I am not taking away your posting privileges or report you. Heck, I'm not even going to give you an official warning. What I am going to do is pretend that posting that video here was a momentary lapse of judgement made in the heat of the moment. Just don't be posting stuff like that on here again.

And as for SLX's comments, i fully agree, NMZ was the WORST place for newcomer development. I remember DSTD trying to get me banned just for outlining a Mistico mod the same as his. (No, i didn't use any of his textures).
And some smartass comments from 10+ people when posting WIPs.

You know what the easiest thing in the world is? Being a cynical asshole. Take it from an expert. I'm the king of being a negative twat. Especially concerning matters pertaining to NMZ. I have had some bad experiences there with some people, and made quite an ass of myself over it on more than a few occasions.

Have I disagreed with how the NMZ was run and how some "power" members have acted? Sure. I've actually complained quite a bit here on OSR, in other forums... hell, I've even bitched about it at The No Mercy Zone.

Guess how many bans they've given me? None. True, my stuff never got comments or anything, but I was never actually turned away from the site. The days of members having their accounts deleted over stupid reasons had been gone for quite some time.

If it wasn't for ronaldrain and nWo mark helping me with my original Jeff Hardy mod I probably would have quit trying to mod. True, I have a lot of idealistic differences with them, but it doesn't change what they did for me.

Was NMZ a bit hostile towards noobs? It depends. For every Cuey (who had that Hitler avatar proclaiming "Ban all Noobs" there was a RyanC. For every KussenKdog there was a ronaldrain.

What I'm saying is that for every "asshole" member there were NUMEROUS helpful members and friendly people. Assholes just tend to yell louder and more often than polite people.

People could learn a bit from it. I regret being a prick to No Mercy people and I very much so regret turning so many people off to No Mercy modding.

I regret not archiving more of the zone. I'm not gonna talk trash on the zone, the No Mercy Zone is the Hulk Hogan of No mercy modding. None of us would be here without it.

Oh, and Slim rules, he's been more helpful to new and regular modders than you ever have. Describing yourself as helpful is laughable.

I'm sorry to be so harsh, but pretty much 99% of all posts I ever see you make is coming down on other people. No one thinks its cool except you. I haven't really been to the Zone towards the end, but the last thing I remember is you being an ass to a noob over an Axel Rose mod. I do believe he directly asked for help and feedback, your super helpful reply was : "Why"?

I was kind enough to send him a link to resources, since I think No Mercy modding always comes off better when it isn't done on a high horse.

As i already said in my early days at modding i tryed No Mercy and people at NMZ were jerks, don't remember the 4 or 5 names of the members, i guess everyone wasn't like that but those were enough to give NMZ and its members a bad image to me, so i'm not gonna cry over it's closure even if i recognize that without NMZ the modding community might not be that developped.

People ARE dumb. You prove it every time you post something. You have insulted someone with all 3 posts that you've made here so far.

Maybe I am being a little bit harsh. It may not be your fault that we find your insults so rude. So I am going to help you with your image. From now on, a staff member must approve your posts before they appear on the board. That way, we can help you avoid making yourself look like a jerk.

This would have had some relevance if you weren't the same guy praising a Ron Jeremy mod a while back. What use does that have? About the same as the mod you were just talking about.

I don't remember praising a Ron Jeremy mod, but if I did, it must have been on its quality, not its content. The Axl Rose mod was both superfluous and terrible, so yeah, I made a joke.

I think the core misunderstanding with the perception of NMZ is that we were mean assholes or whatever, but we just had a sense of humor about things. You couldn't steal, you couldn't post illegal things, and you couldn't be CM. Otherwise, just about everything was cool.

People who couldn't type might have been given a hard time, but I just checked, and funny enough that's a rule here too. We had a nice, extensive tutorial section and some members (not me, by the way, I just ignored it) had little patience for those who couldn't be bothered to read.

This place seems lovely, though.

It's sad, because guys like you who were "just having a laugh" ended up making a whole site look unfriendly.

I wasn't trying to "out" you or make you feel under the microscope, I didn't even know you were even a member here during my original post. So yeah... I apologize for that. If I knew you were posting I would have picked a different person's handle to use. However, I don't feel like I was making statements that were not true.
