I remember old-school chat-rooms from the 90's. I use to frequent one called "Virtual Irish Pub" under the handle "Torger", basically just a message board like this place, but without thread archiving. Just one room of "live chat", in other words, you just continued to refresh the page.

Man, I had a 14.4 connection and the world wide web was my fricken' oyster. Funny to think how drastically it has changed and grown.

I remember when candy got smaller and smaller as the prices went higher and higher. I know that still happens now, but candy companies would at least make stuff up to try and cover it.

In the UK, the cadbury company used to release 'Cadbury Creme Eggs' every January to April (it is now sold all year round). But the price would always rise by 2 pence, and the size of the actual chocolate egg shrunk each year.

One man managed to prove that in 5 years, the price was raised by 12p, but the diametre had shrunk by an entire inch. Cadbury released a statement admitting that the price had gone up because of British VAT. But they insisted that their chocolate eggs were the same size as when they were first released. They insisted that they all looked smaller because customers are getting older. As they grew up, their hands got bigger, and therefore the chocolate eggs looked smaller.

Apparently the fact that the chocolate eggs were being made smaller had nothing to do it.

I decided in order to straiten my head and get more accomplished this year, I would take a break from booze/smokes/drugs.

What's funny, is I'm still doing the same crap, I just have less spelling errors. Thank my head injuries for whatever errors happen from here on out (or until I'm done with this resolution).
