I have a few format suggestions:

Everyone who signs up is a rookie, and any veteran can chime in when they have time.

The first contest should be something simple, like everyone should try to make the same face. Faces seem to be a big thing most new people struggle with, and with multiple people all trying to make the same guy, it would be easier for everyone to learn organically by seeing each other's work/progress/mistakes/. It could really be beneficial.

Making a whole suit is pretty difficult your first time out, and EVERYONE needs to learn faces, anyway.

If you guys agree with me, I would propose the first challenge be someone who has a lot of fairly common pictures available, like say.... John Cena? That would be an easy starting point.

Nice Cena face. Without testing it myself I can tell the eyes, nose and mouth may be too wide when you slap it on into the actual game models. You might need to do some shrinking, but I don't know. Give it a test first, looks good right off the bat.

Create a new layer, and draw red dots and lines for the eyes/nose/mouth of the original AKI texture, this can usually give you good idea of where everything needs to go. In the Showdow Creator's kit, you can easily gauge where it goes with the head texture:

I don't know what you used for hair, but I would ditch it and use his actually hair from a game rip or photo.

champion gamer if you are trying for aki style I suggest using aki attire textures
and the face needs more indexing looks too res right now.
If you want to go with hi res style then I suggest using hi res templates and replace all the aki textures

templates
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/xkmcnfnt9n93c/Templates

textures
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/bv4slt4luks3o/Game_Texture_Warehouse

also far as hair goes try some game textures dor or Raw

Also agree with Keson scrap the suit idea guys just a tie is all that is needed glad to see people trying and asking for help that is all that matters.

[/quote]Alright, now, by eyeballing this was can easily see that something is... off with his head. I'm sure you can, too. You need to re-shape that face. The eyes are a little but too large, as is the mouth/nose. When resiezing your initial face pick, mack sure you hold the shift button while re-sizing, as this let's you retain the original shape of the object.

Post your face textures with in shots, that will help us break it down much more efficiently. As Rain said, templates are your friend, you will need to use a few tools to get used to critch allignment, as it is the hardest part of modding.

Right now I want to stick with the face, though.

Hello all, Keson told me to come here and post my Eddie Gilbert for help & feedback. I should know better than to show up late to class AND with the wrong assignment so I improvised.

Alright. I want you to take your polygonal lasso tool, and cut around the eyes, make a new layer via copy. I then want you to rotate this new layer slightly to the right, which will straiten out the eyes (they look lopsided). THEN, I want you to nudge the new layer over anywhere from 3-5 pixels.

Now, to get rid of the eyes on the original layer, use your clonestamp tool to "paint" skin from another part of the face over the eye.

The eyes are the big thing we need to fix, mouth is pretty much fine, and we could probably use this same process for the nose, except nudge it about 2 pixels.

Once those features are straitened out, you are going have yourself a decent face, I think.
