As reported, William 'Paul Bearer' Moody passed away last night. There is already an Internet petition to have him inducted into this year's Hall Of Fame class. And many staff members have been discussing it as a potential tribute.
It appears that there already was a plan to induct Bearer into the 2014 HOF class. This plan had been in place since December of last year, months before he fell ill. There was a theory that WrestleMania XXX would mark The Undertaker's final ever match, so both Undertaker and Bearer would be inducted individually in the same year.
The chances of Bearer being inducted this year are virtually non-existent. The ceremony is quite soon, and it would be in bad taste for the WWE to enter negotiations with his family so soon.
Moody had always remained on very good terms with the WWE. In 2005, Moody required an essential medical procedure that he could not afford. The WWE hired him and put him back on the roster for a few months. During this time period, Bearer was rarely used, but was still paid very well. The money he received more than covered his forthcoming medical bills.
