EXCLUSIVE: Update On Ridley Scott's Ultra Secretive PROMETHEUS!!
Hey guys! Got an exclusive update from one of my inside sources and in this case it is in turn from a source of his own, so take all of this with a grain of salt. But know this, my source here is one of my top taps of information so I am always excited to hear from him! Man I hope this is all true...

**WARNING POTENTIAL SPOILERS BELOW!!!
Do not read further unless you want to risk a pristine viewing experience of Ridley Scott's PROMETHEUS.

This is directly taken (mid email) from my source (emphasis is mine):

Be aware, there is a campaign of disinformation that is going to be used about this upcoming movie, I do not know that if inadvertently I am being used, however, the manner in which the conversation came about, I seriously doubt it.

Ridley Scott's sci-fi movie, currently going by the name Prometheus, is going to be a very large and intense story, with a scope that is epic, the final act is where the movie switches gears and shifts into Aliens territory. Pinewood houses an exact replica of the H R Giger Space Jockey command post. You may notice in the original Alien that the Space Jockey had a puncture on its considerably large chest, where the xenomorph broke out through the flesh of the creature and broke through the biomechanical armor it wears. You may also notice how big the Space Jockey is in relation to its human counter parts in the film. So imagine how big the baby must be, which is yet to grow. Then imagine quite a few of these. If you can do that, you got a pretty good grasp on the final act. And do not be expecting the traditional look either, these are very different creatures that will keep the general architecture of the xenomorph, but will have a considerably different look, and do very perverse things.

However, before all of this I hear that the story is not only reminiscent of 2001, but is also trying to push the boundaries of what a modern tent pole science fiction movie could be. This is all I can share, but trust me, you seriously need to start being excited about this project, because not only is this I am assured, not nostalgia for nostalgia reasons, but a whole new spin on that old chestnut.(Editor's note: I am definitely excited about this project! As many of you can attest I'm sure :)

The story is a very closely guarded secret in Hollywood, and while it is not a direct prequel "officially" it has more than just passing ties towards the Alien saga's canon. You will have all the things that worked in the Alien canon, and very new and fresh and some controversial ideas presented, sexuality is dealt with quite directly. There may even be a robot or two. And the ship, which I am told is the current titles name, Prometheus. Highly original, both in concept and design I hear.

OH FUCK YEAH!! This sounds incredible. We know this will be a Alien film but will take brand new look into the creatures. We never saw what a Alien looked like in a different form (Pure form), and could be ground breaking!!

Prometheus. First, there was a call sheet which listed the following actors and their characters: Charlize Theron (Vickers), Idris Elba (Janek), Emun Elliot (Chance) and Benedict Wong (Ravel). Their source also saw three aliens and gave details about the costumes.

“Though security on the set is very tight with the good weather, dock doors have been open and cast and crew have been enjoying lunch outdoors. I can confirm seeing 3 aliens having lunch. Not the whole costume but blueish costumes and the unmistakable heads hanging around their shoulders”

“The alien heads were the same shape but no markings, only a plane bronze colour. As for the suits black boots and shoulder pads the rest was a Chelsea blue body suit could be for SFX, all the sets around the back of the bond stage have huge green chromokey maybe that’s a clue. I have witnessed foam cut outs of unmistakable aliens all cut in half lengh ways so they could be in the floor walls etc and very much from the original film.”

“I managed to enter the bond stage one weekend when no filming was sheduled all I can say is there is a very very long tunnel that leads to an enormous structure at the back of the stage which is the same height as the stage and probably extends out another 200 ft. All of these sets are surrounded by wood foam and scaffold so sid not see inside, I think this is were the Space Jockey set is.”

FUCKING WOW!!! Maybe this will be a Alien prequel after all, but in a different perspective. OMG! I want pics!!

"Yeah, the thing about "Alien vs. Predator" is, I know it's commerce, but what a pity. I think, therefore, I have to design — or redesign — earlier versions of what these elements are that led to the thing you finally see in "Alien," which is the thing that catapults out of the egg, the face-hugger."

This is in no way an official confirmation or news. Movie website, CHUD, has posted up a tidbit from an e-mail they received:

“Evening Nick, my mate is working on Prometheus as OMITTED and met Guy Pierce on set today. She’s previously worked on OMITTED, OMITTED and OMITTED and I’ve no reason to believe she’s lying. I’ve not read anywhere about Guy being cast so thought it might interest you.“

Cool.. He is a talented actor and would suit the whole Premethous/Alien movie.

I'm pretty sure this is gonna own. I might dust off the original trilogy tonight and watch some.

Guy Pierce, huh? Not sure what to make of that.

<blockquote class='quote\\_blockquote'><dl><dt>Quote:</dt><dd> </dd></dl><div>The cast of Prometheus seems to just keep getting bigger. Alien Prequel News recently noticed this tweet from James Payton:

“Back to the spaceship after my stay of execution yesterday. Pinewood, here I come. *yawn*”

That said, if he is indeed in Prometheus, it’s unknown what character he will play
I could see him play a Bishop type of character. It seems this film will have a deep cast.

Shocktilyoudrop got their hands on a picture of a licensing banner for Prometheus in the Licensing Expo taking place in Las Vegas. No pictures from the movie, I’m afraid. It’s just text but it’s a start.

In related news, Ridley Scott is going to be filming in Iceland next month. Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce and Noomi Rapace will be there filming. Russell Crowe (Gladiator, Robin Hood) also visited the Prometheus set this week and said on Twitter how much he liked it. Thanks to Darkoo for the news.

Why is it just me and CBV commenting in this thread?? You guys need your heads checked!! LOL. Its a fuckin Alien movie.

<blockquote class='quote\\_blockquote'><dl><dt>Quote:</dt><dd> </dd></dl><div>Hollywood Reporter has posted up a short report of the Cine Europe expo that took place last night. There was no footage shown despite what was rumoured. Ridley Scott and the cast didn’t really say a whole lot, apparently. Here’s the main points:

Prometheus occupies the same universe as Alien.
The film is inspired by a desire to explore the Space Jockey creature seen in the first Alien.
Prometheus is also the name of the spacecraft sent from Earth by a powerful corporation.
The storyline and script is inspired by Swiss sci-fi writer Eric van Daniken.
Michael Fassbender hinted that his character, David, is an android
And...............

<blockquote class='quote\\_blockquote'><dl><dt>Quote:</dt><dd> </dd></dl><div>Writer Damon Lindelof has done a lengthy video interview for The Kevin Pollak Chat Show. He starts talking about Prometheus on 2:18:00. There’s no major spoilers. He recalls how got to work on the Prequel. Let’s not forget, John Spaihts originally wrote the film as an Alien Prequel, and then Lindelof came on board to re-write his script. His script still has elements from Spaihts’ script and it took him two weeks to write his first draft.
Im fucking pumped!!

<blockquote class='quote\\_blockquote'><dl><dt>Quote:</dt><dd> </dd></dl><div>Yesterday a potential plot outline for Scott’s Prometheus hit the net. A 20th Century Fox representative quickly debunked the story describing the leaked plot as “way off”. Instead, Fox has now released a brief synopsis for the film which you can find below:

“Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define, creating an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery.“

In related news, Joblo.com is reporting that actor Ben Foster (Pandorum, X-Men: The Last Stand) has joined the cast of Prometheus.
Basically, cut short!! A Alien movie. Im pumped!! :celebrate: Why the fuck are you guys not!! No F'N comments.. :cat

<blockquote class='quote\\_blockquote'><dl><dt>Quote:</dt><dd> </dd></dl><div>Two more set pictures from Prometheus have found their way online via Alien Prequel News:

The Giger design is even more obvious in this and the second image and it quite clearly looks like something you’d find with Space Jockey architecture. In other news, Neal Scanlan Studios have now been named as being attached to Prometheus to do creature effects.
<blockquote class='quote\\_blockquote'><dl><dt>Quote:</dt><dd> </dd></dl><div>The Prometheus panel at the San Diego Comic Con has minutes ago wrapped up. Instead of a trailer being shown, some sort of featurette containing behind-the-scenes footage and movie footage was screened instead. After this Damon Lindelof and Charlize Theron presented the panel with Ridley Scott and Noomi Rapace joined in via satellite uplink from Iceland.

The footage and panel revealed this about Prometheus:

• Many of the sets, spaceships, space suits and the look in general appeared very reminiscent of Alien. Repeated comments are that the sets are “epic and expansive“.
•In the footage the “Prometheus” title card slowly faded onto screen much in the same manner as the original “Alien” title.
•Michael Fassbender’s character, David, is shown looking curiously at a drop of blood on his finger.
•Charlize Theron’s character, Vickers, was also seen doing naked push-ups and wielding a flame-thrower. Vickers is revealed to “be a suit“. IndieWire is taking this to mean she’s the head of Weyland-Yutani. Theron also comments that: “She[Vickers] runs a tight ship… but she’s somehow ‘going to be a problem“.
•Ridley Scott comments on the long wait for his return to science-fiction: “I was busy doing other movies and exploring other genres and, frankly, I never thought about sci-fi until I realized there was something in the first Alien that no one ever asked a question about. In the next one, still no exploration of that big question, so maybe that can be the centerpiece of what we just complete. But we’ve decided to go a complete other direction… In the last few minutes of the movie… you’ll actually understand what I’m talking about . “
•The majority of the film is shot practically with very little CG. However, it was all shot entirely in 3D which is a format that Scott is quite taken with. “I’ll never work without 3D again, I loved the whole process… 3D opens up the universe even in a small dialogue scene, so I’ve been very impressed with that.”
•According to Ridley there will “maybe be two” androids featuring in Prometheus. We’re already aware that Fassbender’s character, David, is an android so this leaves the second a mystery.
•Noomi Rapace comments on how “demanding” working on Prometheus has been. “It’s been the best journey ever. When I read the script, I was thrilled. Then when we started to work on this, I completely forgot about everything, it felt like we were discovering something that I haven’t been in before.”
•A bombshell was dropped in that Fox are wanting Prometheus to be rated PG-
13. Lindelof asked: “has the PG-13 rating inhibited you?” to which Ridley replied he has a responsibility to Fox but he also wanted to make sure he had both opens. In all likelihood we’ll see a PG-13 theatrical release and an uncut Blu-ray release.
•Bleeding Cool state that: “Scott has said that he hasn’t held back and has covered stuff that might not make the PG-13 cut, but that he and Tom Rothman “will watch the footage in that big theatre at Fox” and decide what is the best way to go with the film.”
•According to Empire they saw: “a creature getting flamethrowered” during the footage. This could possibly be the footage with Vickers and the flamethrower.

<blockquote class='quote\\_blockquote'><dl><dt>Quote:</dt><dd> </dd></dl><div>Diego Comic Con managed to snap this image from the featurette shown:

It appears to be Noomi Rapace suited in a spacesuit very similarly styled to the one worn by Ripley in Alien. Thanks to Darkoo for the link.
