So I have been playing No Mercy on Pj64 for years now and lately I have just been having trouble with it. I have been messing around the settings on Pj64 2.2, 2.1 and 1.6 and I have had the same problem. The speed in the game seems right but it will slow down randomly for like 2 seconds then be back to normal. Sometimes you can really notice and has a real affect on the gameplay. I have been all over the boards and tried different settings people put up but it just not helping. I messed with the settings a TON and still do not have an answer. In the first video you can see how my settings and graphics plugin are setup. The second video shows it being really laggy. I messed with the counter factor and the VI refresh rate a ton. I cant go higher than 4 on the counter factor because it starts to flicker. Also the problem seems to be the same with or without textures. If anybody can help I would greatly appreciate it. I have been at this for awhile......

Weird. I know you probably don't want to, but can you post your settings?

Do you need more than what was in the first video? If you do I really don't mind putting them up.

Shit! I only watched the second, hang on.

Also, are you running any other programs? Have you messed with the audio hacks, like the syncing hack and fixed audio timing?

turn every other app off. If that doesn't help it's something else.

Few other random questions:

When was the last time he computer was turned off?

When was the last time you cleaned you registry?

It's been turned off recently and no apps are running. Starting to think if it has something to do how graphics card is set up. Videos work fine on it but I don't know what else it can be.

And the sound hacks? Have you tried turning them off? Make sure when you change the settings you are turning it off, not giving a hard or soft reset.

That is strange. With your operating system by the looks of it either windows 7 or 8 you should be able to run this smoother. Its like your memory is all used up. Try going into start and use the "msconfig" command and cleaning start up a bit and shut down programs you don't need to run. Also use the "ctrl alt delete" command and bring up task manager and check to see what your cpu usage is while NM runs.

That is weird as I play showdown 64 on an old copy of XP with no problems.

Ended some programs from task manager and when the game is playing it sits at Cpu 28%, memory 32%, disk 0% and network 0%. Still acting the same. Seems to flicker when 4 wrestlers are in the ring.
Ok so I rebooted my laptop and it works fine now. Some program was taking up the memory or something. The only thing im having a problem with is having textures load up. I'm playing on pj64 2.2. I changed the textures directories to the texture folder and made a folder named WWF No Mercy in the texture folder and put the textures in there. Am I missing something?
