June 22nd: WWE renews licensing and marketing rights for CM Punk.
CM Punk wrestles his "last match" at MITB, in which Vince books him to win their most prestigious title.
Supposedly leaves company.
Still uses the name "CM Punk" for public appearances without legal action being taken or even planned.
The fact that he's STILL IN POSSESSION OF THE BELT (which is property of the WWE) should be enough, but apparently this angle has enough realism to fool a lot of people. Awesome!
