Ryback punished?

Several websites are reporting that Ryback's recent match with Big Show was a punishment.

In this match, Ryback succesfully performed the new version of his Shell Shock Samoan drop on Big Show. However, Show recovered, hit the WMD punch on Ryback and got the win.

The reason for Ryback's punishment was because he used Goldberg's Spear and Jackhammer finishers in a previous match. The WWE had been trying to negotiate a WrestleMania XXX match between Ryback and Goldberg. Goldberg called off the negotiations when Vince McMahon and Ryback started hyping the match as if it was finalised. The WWE keep trying to make a deal with Goldberg, but Goldberg keeps finding excuses not to do it.

Ryback performing Goldberg's moves made Goldberg angry, making a deal even less likely. The idea of Big Show recovering from the Shell Shock was to make Ryback look weak. It also reduces the marketability of a potential feud between Big Show and Ryback in the near future.

It should be noted that Goldberg is the main reason why Goldberg won't come back. Goldberg has demanded a huge fee, and refuses to return for a penny less. Goldberg has ranted for years about wrestlers "stealing" his moves, even though all of his moves had been used for decades before he made his debut.

Also, Roman Reigns and Kaitlyn both use the Spear as their main finishing move. Christian, Big Show, the Bellas, Vickie Guerrero, The Usos, Natalya, Alicia Fox, Zack Ryder, Goldust, Titus O'Neal and even John Cena all use the Spear on frequent occasion as a regular move.

It's well known that ryback is a prick, but blaming him on Goldberg's BS... pff.

Anyone have the match where Ryback used Goldberg's move as a finisher as well as the new version of Shellshock? It still looks the same to me.

The difference in the move is how he lifts the opponent. He used to use a leg hook as if he was performing a fisherman's suplex. In fact, the original Shell Shock featured in SvR06 as 'Fisherman Suplex'.

Now he does a Fireman Carry to lift the opponent. This effectively makes the Shell Shock a Samoan Drop.

Even if they hype us about the match and it does happen, Ryback vs Goldberg will just be like Lesnar vs Goldberg at Wrestlemania XX, worst match in history.

Fuck Goldberg. Push the current stars, Goldberg already had his moment to shine.
