Ryback was asked on Twitter about where his "Feed me more!" catchphrase comes from. Ryback made a reference to much earlier Mr. McMahon promos.

<blockquote class='quote\\_blockquote'><dl><dt>Ryback</dt><dd> </dd></dl><div>
"More is never enough. Feed Me More is a way of life. I know no other way. One day at a time I grab life by the neck and want more. #WWETLC"
[/quote]

In the Summer of 2002, Mr. McMahon made an in-ring promo on an episode of SmackDown. He informed all Superstars on both rosters that "More is never enough", and it should become "a way of life". Several people close to McMahon, particularly his children Shane and Stephanie, have frequently quoted Vince as having told them to "always grab life by the throat and want more".

Ryback's catchphrase is actually a joke on Ryback himself. Ryback, real name Ryan Reeves, was a finalist in the $250,000 Tough Enough competition a few years ago. The trainers, including Bill DeMott and Al Snow, were bemused by how much and how often Reeves would eat. He was given the Ryback gimmick with the idea that he was an unstoppable monster with an insatiable appetite... for destruction.

Ryback is the only person to have competed in both Tough Enough and NXT competitions.
