Why not? This is a great game that needs to be updated still. I feel like we haven't reached its fullest potential yet.

Why is he deleting it? And why are people shitting on him for his incredible work? I've actually called off work a couple times because I stayed up way tooooooo late playing this game. I love his work and it should be appreciated.
Bump.

You jerks have been tearing my mood apart. ALL DAY.

YOU! You have no freaking right to create a showdown thread. It ain't your save, it ain't your project.

You come here and blatantly call whoever deleted the threads an asshole. In case you didn't know, there's no other people who can delete threads than staff and MAYBE the started of the thread themselves. So you should've thought better instead of going "I didn't know" about it.

Now. To the purpose of this thread, the main reason for the Showdown Threads being unavailable to public is because a lot of users who join this place to follow the updates to that project only use the thread as an emulator troubleshooting platform. It's been like that for... what? 2 years? EVERY SINGLE DAY there was a retarded question on the thread. If the thread had like 60 pages of posts, if you removed the dumb questions the pages would drastically reduce to 20 at most.

So yeah, the community wounded itself.

Well, Keson should have made it clear in the first place.

I did.

But kay.

We're. Still working on it but I'm not using OSR as a platform for updates. Not sure what I will use.

But thanks for the advice.

He did, a lotta times.

No, he shouldn't have made anything clear. The project is his. And the guy can do whatever the fuck he wants with it, He doesn't get paid for it.

You spoiled kids will never learn. I could ban yer ass outta here, but I won't. You're welcome.

If a Showdown thread doesn't exist, I won't get pissed, and then I can do my thing and work on Showdown.

So shut up and go play Showdown until the new one is out. I have nothing to announce because there's nothing worth announcing until we have a platform and download nearly ready. We don't. So play the version you already have.

I already said a while ago we won't have the new version finished for probably well over a year. Or two. Or three. You fuckwits want a sequel but want to wait a month for if.

Nnnnnnooooooope. Go play Showdown and check out Jamstubbs Archive while you wait.

I Joined this forum because of showdown close to 3yrs ago now. I was looking for a better version of legends 2.0. I can't say enough about the mod. But I get why Keson gets tired of some of the bullshit. I understand why he's tired of a good portion of you. Play what you got and wait.

What if we gave Showdown 64 its own subforum here at OSR:

One part of the subforum would be for Keson to post new threads & updates regarding Showdown 64. There can also be a main thread there for General Discussion of S64 (like the old 109-page thread used to be.) Asking for troubleshooting help would be prohibited in this section.

Then we can create an additional Troubleshooting Help subforum, where all the new members can make a thread about why their game won't work; and then whoever wants to help them there, will help them. This way, their posts don't get lost in the shuffle, and also don't clog the general discussion page. After 2 weeks, their thread will be deleted to free up forum space.

We already have a help section. People are too stupid to use it. Ask Optimuscrime. For a year and a half he was told to use it, never did. Then he would complain how no one is allowed to ask for help.

Nope. I like my way better. When an update is uploaded it'll be uploaded. See your avatar, Damien? I agree with you completely. This crowd is too full of impatient idiots.

It's not worth it. I'm not gonna waste my time with noob shit anymore. The last year I've been pleading for people to listen and use their brains. If a year's worth of pleading isn't enough to get the community to get their shit together, then I'm not wasting anymore time on the community.

Stupidity can only.be pardoned so many times before a person is done.

I no longer feel like discussing Showdown with anyone outside the Showdown team or outside my circle of friends.

One thing I wish is that more mods use Jabo's Direct3D8 1.7.0.57-ver5 :p. It's just me because when I want to play a mod on the run downloading plugins can be difficult

i would just like to say that it's obvious the popularity of this project has in many cases served as a distraction to the creator as well as the contributors. on the other hand, the previous thread has also been a great resource to people who are being introduced to no mercy modding. the former has lead to a ridiculous amount of rubbish; people have chosen to abuse the pm system from the sounds of it when really there should only be posts made in the progress thread. i have always enjoyed checking the showdown 64 thread for updates, but there are obviously reasons that have been stated enough already for why things need to "cool down" so-to-speak. i hope the creator/s can take this opportunity to focus on the reasons they decided to get involved with this project in the first place and that people will understand that a community does not revolve around nagging pm's, and that peace can and will be restored. negativity is obviously a tremendous deterrent to the progress of something we all want to see come to fruition.

finally, just want to say THANK YOU!
