Regarding 2nd Level Specials and Stolen Specials:

The mechanisms that enable these moves HAVE BEEN REMOVED from the game engine for No Mercy. The slots to save these moves seems to have been removed from the Create/Edit Wrestler menus.

HOWEVER, there are still slots to save these moves in the default data for the wrestlers. I added a 2nd Level Special and a Stolen Special to one of my CAWs and it saved to the cart. To do this, I did the following...

(1) Changed the values in the default data addy's
(2) Selected the CAW in edit
(3) Saved the CAW without making any changes

Then I ported some of the move modifier codes from WM2K and changed the front weak grapple A-up move to the 2nd level special and changed the front weak grapple A-down move to the stolen special. So now my CAW has 3 front specials, 2 of which are available at all times.

In the default data, ALL wrestlers except the Rock, Austin, and Richards have Stolen Specials moves already in place. These Stolen Special moves are the same as the normal Special moves for all wrestlers except for the following:

Undertaker has the Tombstone Piledriver
Goodfather has the Pimp Drop
Christian has a normal Powerbomb Pin
Viscera has a normal Sitout Powerbomb Pin
Andre has the Pedigree
Chyna has the Pedigree
Trish has the TKO
Ho has the Super Powerbomb Pin
JR/Lawler/Brisco/Patterson have the Single Dragon Screw

The values in the default data for these moves are 12-bit (3 hex digits) and are equal to the number of the move you want to select in Edit Mode. If you were to look at the addy for a CAW in the memory editor you would see this for the first three 8-bit values -> 00 00 11

These are 12-bit values, that means that 000 (none) is the 2nd Level Special value and 011 (Figure 4 Combo Pin) is the Stolen Special value. The 1st digit for each 12-bit values designates the move as a favorite.

(3) 000 is the 2nd Level Special and 011 is the Stolen Special
(4) Select values that you want to use
(5) Use the values as is for Stolen Special
(6) ADD 80 to the Stolen Special value to get 2nd Level Special value
(7) Select CAW for editing and Save

Once you do all of that, activate these codes...

Always do Front Special (2nd Level)
8014 7F05 0047

Always do Front Stolen Special
8014 7F07 0048

With these codes active your Front Weak Grapple A-up will now become your Front Special (2nd Level) while your Front Weak Grapple A-down will now become your Front Stolen Special. Keep in mind, you can change this to something else by using the Move Modifier Addys.

Also

Always do Back Special
8014 7F21 0051

Your Back Weak Grapple A button will now become your Back Special. Keep in mind that this move can be reversed.

Credit Tokidoim for finding all of this. All I did was add a list of values for the specials. It's pretty self-explanataory but if you have questions ask Toki or myself since I have a very good understanding of what's going on here.

Toki - I also have the assign 5 specials to your Irish Whip codes as well if you don't have it on file.
