Let's start from the beginning...

I am a loyal Lucha Libre/Puroresu/Wrestling fan. Always have been.
I am an avid and passionate Nintendo 64 collector (I don't game with modern consoles).

I like to keep it old school, it's how I found this site and was very happy indeed.

So I got this game called WWF No Mercy for the N64 when it first came out in 2000, as you already guessed I was mesmerized in every way possible, everything I wanted, game play was solid, game modes etc.

Then the GLITCH hit.

All my data constantly erased... So depressing... EVERY TIME.

Then the INTERNET became more affordable and as I searched I learnt about the GameShark Pro!
All hope was restored and amazement taken to a whole new level!

It wasn't until last year that I actually got a GSP v3.3 and as you have guessed I bricked it...

So time passes on again... I tried emulation, for some reason I just couldn't get it right (PJ64) I mean I spend enough time on a PC at work, last thing I wanna do is go home and keep doing it, I guess HDMI connection is an option though.
Finding out how to work out what to do (codes, hacks, etc) was even harder, it took a while till my NMzone account was approved anyways and still now I am a PJ64 NOOOOOB!

So last month I find and buy a PAL copy of NM v1.1 yep, NO GLITCH!!! nearly 100% on all championships and it's swell! I cannot BOlieve I actually have it, 14 years later and 1 of my favorite games ever works perfectly!!!

Damn though... its PAL and GS don't work on.... HANG ON! GS v3.2 WORKS ON PAL!!! and that's the new GS that I bought which came in the mail today!!!

So I get all my gear ready, put in all the codes..... nothing.... all other games actually work.... but NM... nothing...

Then it hits me, ALL the codes created are for the glitch'd version of NM.... ALL those codes do not work on v1.1.

I have everything I ever wanted - but now I don't know if I am happy or if I should go on a stabbing rampage through town.

Man I felt your pain reading through. All I can suggest is putting out 20 for a USB N64 controller(Amazon) and connect your pc to your TV with an HDMI cord. Thats how I run things, its pretty damn close to the real thing.

hahaha I feel ya man. Once you get it all set up though, all these saves really make No Mercy even better than it was. I'm all about the old school too, I played WM2000 and WCW/NWO Revenge religiously for years it seems. I'd suggest the Showdown64 save if you wanna try out the hireres style of No Mercy or the Back2Basic save that Barsiko recently updated, its more of an old school feel really, there's no textures needed just hacks, but it's really fucking solid.

I use two wired XBox 360 controllers to play No mercy, and now whenever I try to play on my N64, it's always awkward for me.

Emulation was weird for me for quite some time but I'm glad I did. No Mercy can run on even slower computers, and is still a freaking great wrestling game.
