SYM conversion to SVR11 [PS2]

Hi Guys,

EDIT: Everything below this point is edited from the old .txc samples and SYM conversion question I posted. This is now a question regarding importing the character into the SVR11 game without getting a certain effect.

I'm trying to follow the instructions in the SVR 05 -> Newer Games Conversion tutorial (credit ERI619) in order to create a few divas mods. I've gotten the textures, noted the size and colors, and now I'm stuck.


What I'm trying to do is convert the SYM version of Linda McMahon into SVR11 using the above method. The matched up base that I'm using to resize the textures is Christy Hemme (SVR06, CH2.33.PAC).

Here's what I've done so far:

1. Extracted the .yobj file and textures from Linda McMahon

2. Extracted the .txc files from Christy Hemme (SVR06, Maid alt. attire)

3. Resized/Remapped the Linda textures to match the Christy textures

4. Renamed the Christy .txc files to Linda's txc file names

5. Created texture archive 09.pac

6. Injected 09.pac into Christy alt. attire

7. Imported all Linda .tm2 files into their respective txc format

8. Injected 02.yobj into Christy alt. attire

9. Imported using svredit_24 into [char id] 147, [attire id] 11, [system] PS2 (typed into the program as C:\svredit_24>import "C:\Users\xxxxxx xx\Desktop\CH.2.PAC.33.PAC" 147 11 PS2

10. Rebuilt ISO with ExPERT Tools

11. Started up PCSX2 version of Smackdown vs RAW 2011 and played exhibition match of Linda McMahon vs. Alicia Fox

Problem: Glitchy textures and a fishing pole for an arm.


How do I make sure I'm doing this right? (I'm really confused at this point and I'm sure it's just one of those things that I either don't understand yet or have overlooked)

P.S., When it's finished, the Linda will be posted along with two other planned divas (Debra SYM and Molly Holly SYM)

just find an inring pac of a wrestler from SVR Which has more or equal no of textures as your SYM Wrestler.

I just told to use txc samples in rare cases where a wrestler has 35-40 textures.I would advice you to do the above,using txc samples is a headache because the textures overlap.Also you can make the 16 colors textures into 256 colors,but it would consume filesize.

(Linda is halfway down the page before Mark Henry and after Lance Storm in blue pants)


I'm guessing some texture re-coloring and bones editing at the very least is in order (Gotta get rid of the fishing pole for an arm effect lol). However, as I'm still a noob, I'm going to need your patience and your help in explaining how all of this is going to work correctly.
