A popular tag team has changed their usernames on Twitter, indicating that they have been repackaged.
The Ascension are the current NXT Tag Team Champions. Founding member Connor O’Brian is now called “Konnor. His co-champion Rick Victor is now simply called Viktor.
Usually when the WWE makes a big change to people who have been there for so long, it is normally a sign that they have plans for them. It could be that the duo is being repackaged. But as they are currently title holders, it is more likely that they are being prepared for the main roster.
Before NXT was re-launched, Konnor had appeared on the show with a “Rat-Man†gimmick using his former ring name. Changing his ring name before coming back to TV properly will help distance himself from his former gimmick.
