This could be a fun way to chat about where we live that we really haven't touched up on.

I live in Eastern Montana, it has more preserved Dinosaur fossils than nearly anywhere else on Earth. It also is the birthplace of fuckin' Steak Fingers.

What about you guys? Where ya from and what's something cool about where you live?

Interesting!

I live in Malaysia. My dad works here in Manipal Medical College in the Melaka district. Here he stays in the Staff quarters with mom and me. Melaka is basically one of the historical places. I have studied about the place in our Malaysian history class , it is mostly like those Mughal Empires in India. There are lot of tourist attractions, including the lake, the lakeside church and War maritime centers etc. There are a lot of luxurious malls and hotels just nearby the above mentioned tourist attraction.

I also live in a place , 2 hours away from Melaka, called Nilai. Thats where my university is. It is basically a developing area, with upto 50 to 80 different homes built on many different land acres. I stay with my 2 classmates . They're my housemates (I don't like having room mates, they disturb me a lot). I don't know about the history of Nilai, but its a calm and cool place, you'll find what you need.

I didn't speak about KL because I don't live there, but it is a great metropolitian area and the Petronas towers have an interesting history about it.

Really fun idea :d

Well, I said this before. I live in Taltal, a not that small town near Antofagasta, a big important city of my country Chile. My town is REALLY Near to the beach -I live really close to it, almost 2 streets forward and there is the sea-. Taltal is the house of the Chango tribe, ancient nomad people dedicated to fishing and seaworks. They nailed it with a boat made of seal skin and tendoms -I dont know if im writing this right- and other hunt tools too. They even made trades with the Incas.

In Taltal exist so much legends and myths. The Cristal Palace, the 4-Rock, the Stone Woman. Lot of folklore over here. But no, we are not indians, haha. In summer, Taltal is a very populated town, lot of tourism. And in this times, they make Music festivals with guest famous artists of the country.

This is a very quiet place. Its rare to find loudness in night. Good place for rest ^^

Well I originally hail from Detroit, you know, the place in America that's pretty violent in crime and bankrupt. But we have a great history of the American auto industry, sports, and music. We love our sports and music here, mostly basketball and football(even during shit seasons), baseball when we do good, and we own the best American hockey franchise. We're also pretty close to Canada(probably why our damn hockey team is so good, but we'll take it), it gets so cold there you might as well call it Canada! Michigan is a good state, lots of good places to visit and for gods sake, it's pretty much one of the few states you can tell immediately from a map, we're shaped like a freaking mitten! There's even a Hell, Michigan and Gaylord, Michigan.

For college I relocated to East Lansing, Michigan. The campus is big and beautiful. When it isn't burying us in snow and hail, the place looks pretty good in the winter and all the other seasons. It's really diverse here, a lot of the people here are fairly friendly, I swear I see a beautiful girl almost every day, if only I didn't have the social skills of a wet rag, I could probably muster up the courage to talk to one of them. Don't worry, I speak to a lot of people and have a fair amount of friends and relate-able people around me, it's done good for my character. We're mostly known for being a party school, so yes I have seen, heard, and been involved in some shit. Also for some reason, the students here can get a little obsessed with the squirrels. Yes, the squirrels are a good part of this place, dammit.

EDIT: Rev isn't the only one who got to live near a film set. They shot part of the Batman vs. Superman movie on our campus! I think one of friends went if I can remember.

lets see i come for Australia, mostly everyone knows we where all originally convicts from the united kingdom and where i live not going to give out the direct location, but my town was one of the first colonies in Australia, also every year our town has a festival about a ghost, the story: In 1826 an English-born Australian farmer named Frederick Fisher (Born : London-August 28th ,1792) suddenly disappeared. His friend and neighbour George Worrall claimed that Fisher had returned to England, and that before departing had given him power of attorney over his property and general affairs. Later, Worrall claimed that Fisher had written to him to advise that he was not intending to return to Australia, and giving his farm to Worrall.

Four months after Fisher's disappearance a respectable local man named John Farley, ran into the local hotel in a very agitated state. He told the astonished patrons that he had seen the ghost of Fred Fisher sitting on the rail of a nearby bridge. Farley related that the ghost had not spoken, but had merely pointed to a paddock beyond the creek, before disappearing.

Initially Farley's tale was dismissed, but the circumstances surrounding Fisher's disappearance eventually aroused sufficient suspicion that a police search of the paddock to which the ghost had pointed was undertaken - during which the remains of the murdered Fisher were discovered buried by the side of a creek. George Worrall was arrested for the crime, confessed, and subsequently hanged"

I've often wondered why on Earth so many famous people visit Ohio. It's mostly flat with some hills towards the south and I guess there's the Ohio River and Lake Erie which can be attractions. The State slogan really does fit though "Ohio The Heart Of It All" I thought long and hard and I think I know what the appeal of Ohio is.On the grand scale of the World I'd say it ranks pretty high if not 1st of the safest place to live.We have very few dangerous venomous animals, insects, arachnids and the ones that are here are not among the most deadly. We have quite a few famous people with The Wright Brothers, birth place of aviation and The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame,Marilyn Manson coming to mind first. One other interesting thing is movies and Life imitating art or vice versa. There are a lot of famous movie killers from or based in Ohio with Jason Voorhees and Freddy Kruger at the top.But one other weird coincidence is there are just as many real life killers from Ohio or having lived in Ohio case in point Jefferey Dahmer.
Charles Manson is from Ohio too go figure.Anyways I don't particular love the State but at the same hand I've lived from New York(State) to Florida and I can't complain because there are worst places to be.

Parts of Game of Thrones, Season 1 was filmed really close to my house. I mean, I could walk out the front door and be on the set at normal pace within 15 minutes. Could just about see the production from my bedroom window.

I have never watched a single episode, so I have no idea which scenes there were in. All I know is that one involved a massive CGI bridge to cover up a train track, and another was a battle in front of some cliffs.
