Explanation:

After the failure Maria was at the previous show where she falled Mr Daniel couldn't stand seeing her win. He went to tell her how she didn't deserve this honor, the argument gains in intensity and out of anger Mr Daniel grabs the closest object (the trophy) and hits Maria with it, killing her. Being a man who couldn't stand improper closing he cleaned everything, leaving the body completely neat.
Ashley just came after to congratulate Maria, found he body and in shock just grabbed the trophy which is why she was found holding the murder weapon when the cops came.

Explanatiobn - He killed Ruby to take revenge. Ruby costed him his job so he used his abilities to kill Ruby. Then he went to Parkers' house to steal the 10 million that the insurance gave to James

Explanation:
After Ruby slapped Jacob in his office, leaving him embarrassed in front of everyone, he plans to take revenge. He also roped in the driver to know the internal information, like, where they usually go on drive and at what time, so he can execute his plan properly. The two men in masks were Jacob and Alex themselves to hide their identity in front of James. Jacob takes his revenge and kills Ruby and let's the driver to rob James's house right after the incident takes place just to make sure there are no loose ends.
