The Rock Discusses His Big Return, Says He Will Headline WrestleMania

During the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour where The Rock was promoting his new TNT series, The Hero, The Rock discussed WrestleMania plans and his return to RAW this Monday night. He noted that his angle for WrestleMania would start this Monday with his return, which he said would be "big."

"That will lead to, hopefully, what will be the biggest WrestleMania of all time at Giants Stadium," Rock said. "I will headline that show, with someone who I can't say right now. We've got an amazing four months lined up and planned out that will culminate in the biggest WrestleMania of all time. It's going to be a hell of a thing."

Listen Rock. If this main event involves you against Cena. Then I myself will have no interest nor will it make it the biggest wrestlemania of all time.

However, I am intrigued and am willing to see how this goes. I would like to believe what Rock is saying, I really do, but I just feel it will end with a blah!

For me, it's not about Rock VS Cena, It's about Rock Headline WM. Rock appearance in WWE is not Every Week, He doesn't Wrestle in Weekly Show (RAW or SmackDown), But He can Headline WM again. ARE YOU SERIOUS?

For me its about the current product. Rock puts asses in the seats, simple as that. Attendance and ratings for the past few years have declined in the US, and PPV buys remain low. Vince obviously believes he needs to recoup the lost buys at WM and pushing a main event with The Rock in a WWE title match equals buys. I can respect that, but in all seriousness, how does this look at the rest of the roster who have busted there asses for a good 300+ days of the year? CM Punk has carried the company for the past year and a long with guys like Bryan, Ziggler, Sheamus, Cena, and Big Show who have also played there part, the product still remains flat. I like the fact they are pushing guys like The Shield, Sandow, Ryback, but are these guys really going to become household names in the years to come? Looking at it now, NO/MAYBE!

Would people pay to see Ziggler vs CM Punk for the WWE Title at WM? In our minds, YES. In Vince's mind, NO!.

Look at how The Miz was treat as WWE champion at WM a few years a go. Cena and especially The Rock was pushed above him and he was WWE champion. He should have been protected and on equal terms, but he seemed like a jobber. How can fans buy into a wrestler like that if he is getting treated like that?

Also, I would love to see CM Punk VS Ziggler in WM, But we won't see it because of Vince Crazy Idea: Rock VS Cena II, Twice In A Lifetime.
