titles wont change hands

showdown, fresh download. anyone have a idea what it might be? at first i thought it may be the skip vs screen code but nope. any help appeciated.

Check if any of the Titles are currently going through Story Mode.
If so, these will need finishing off before the Titles will change hands during normal gameplay.

I am playing ECW Barely Legal and am experiencing the same problem with no Champsionship modes currently active. Anyone know a solution?

It usually happened to me because of No Matchup Screen codes, but I'm not sure about this one.
