Trio Tag Titles, Good idea or bad?

I've always loved the idea of having a Three-Man Tag title. In the WWE today, I don't think it could be more applicable. The tag division has been built up so high lately that there's actually multiple branching storylines revolving around the division. If we cut everything up and observe it, it's not like it could hurt.

The current tags in the WWE are:
Best and the Beard
The Real Americans
Truth and Consequences (Not official name anymore but whatever)
The Usos
Prime Time Players
Rhodes Brothers
Los Matadores
The Shield
The Wyatt Family
Mark Henry and Langston
3MB
Hunico and Camacho

The Wyatt Family, The Shield, Los Matadores and 3MB are currently the only 3 man stables, but The Authority could easily pull some people in, and there'd be another division to throw Zack Ryder and other superstars in. Does it sound like a good idea? Give reasons and have a dope discussion.

It might work for awhile, like it did nack in the N.W.A. years ago with teams like The Horsemen, The Freebirds, The Road Warriors and Dusty Rhodes and others

But I just don't think it would last long now, fans these days have a short attention span and get bored very easy & constantly want to move on to the next cool new thing.

But everybody said that about the Shield in the first place, and the white strapped IC title, and even the hardcore title when it first came out. I'd like to see if it was worth the while.

I agree with the Doctor on this one. Right now, the WWE has a really strong tag team division, but it is just about working. There are currently 5 other title divisions that are all a complete shambles right now. I don't see how the WWE will be able to work a tag team and a trio team division at the same time.

Also, it will be subject to very infrequent title changes, with one stable dominating for long periods of time. And with this being the WWE, there will be gimmick title changes, like women co-holding the title with a regular tag team, or 4/7 people holding the championship at once. Remember the travesty when all 5 members of the Spirit Squad held the World Tag Team titles together?

It's a nice idea, but not one that would ever have a long lifespan. Fans will grow board of stables that only compete for stable titles and don't focus on the others.
