Mickie James is no longer under contract with TNA Wrestling. And some websites are reporting that Mr. Anderson did not sign a new deal.
Both of these come as a shock as Anderson was believed to have signed a new deal, and Mickie signed a 3 year deal just under 2 years ago.
Like every other member of the roster (apart from Magnus and Hulk Hogan), Anderson was asked to take a pay-cut. Anderson agreed to accept less money. However, this deal was reached after No Surrender. Either way, he will not be part of the next episode of Impact because he was not used at the tapings. Some insiders expect Anderson to return.
Mickie became the highest paid knockout after Tara was recently released. Mickie was initially allowed to keep her deal due to the extra unpaid publicity work she does for TNA. Mickie also had an agreement which guaranteed her a minimum amount of money every month, however, TNA would be allowed to pay her less if she cancelled a booking for any reason.
Mickie is not expected to be back unless she is offered the same pay as before. But she will continue to be on Impact as she was used on the recent tapings.
This is quite worrying as this leaves TNA with just 4 knockouts for a while. Gail Kim, Velvet Sky, Brooke Tessmacher and ODB make up the entire division. Christy Hemme will not be returning to in-ring competition, and Taryn Tarrell is currently out of action due to her pregnancy.
