Two TNA employees are furious with TNA President Dixie Carter after she changed a main-eventer’s schedule last minute.
Bully Ray and Abyss had been scheduled to be in the main event of the House of Hardcore IV show in Ploughkeepie, New York. At 11:30pm the night before, Bully Ray phoned HOH promoter Tommy Dreamer to tell him that Dixie had over-ruled the booking.
Tommy Dreamer is currently working for TNA as an agent. He and Bully Ray main-evented the House Of Hardcore III event last year. This translated into a cross-promotional feud and a match at a TNA One Night Only pay-per-view. Bully Ray’s involvement brought some much needed publicity to Dreamer’s new promotion. Bully Ray featured very heavily in the marketing material for HOH4, so removing him from the show last minute upset Dreamer and a lot of fans.
Dreamer worked his frustrations into an angle. He opened the show with Devon and Abyss and explained the phone call he had received. While he didn’t mention Dixie or TNA at first, he didn’t correct any fans who had come to that conclusion. He also explained that Bully Ray offered to meet them for a photo at any future Pennsylvania or New York City based TNA event, provided they kept their HOH4 ticket stubs. Dreamer also called her a “mark for Twitterâ€, and encouraged fans to tweet their frustrations to her. Dreamer said that he was fed up with people like that taking advantage of people like him and the fans, and finished the promo by saying “B****, I will get you for this.â€
As part of the angle, Abyss attacked Dreamer and Devon. Abyss then cut a promo defending Dixie and TNA. When the babyfaces fought back, Rhino ran in and helped Abyss. This set up a new main-event of Abyss & Rhino vs Dreamer & Devon. Throughout the entire show, fans made anti-TNA and anti-Dixie chants.
Since then, Bully Ray then said on Twitter that Dixie screwed him and the HOH fans. He promised to make the absence up to them.
