UFC Fighter Ronda Rousey almost seriously injured indy wrestler Biff Busick.
Rousey was a fan in front row for a PWG event. During Busick's match, he and his opponent brawled outside of the ring. His opponent took Busick over to Rousey and held him in place for a knife-edge chop.
Rousey did not understand what the wrestlers or fans wanted from her until a friend explained it. They wanted Rousey to deliver a knife-edge chop across Busick's chest. After a friend explained it to her, Rousey kindly obliged. Unfortunately, Rousey got it wrong and gave Busick a stiff karate chop to the side of the neck.
The blow momentary stopped oxeygen and bloodflow and left Busick dazed. A Referee checked on him before allowing him to continue, but Busick still had medical attention after the match. His injury is not life-threatening, but could take a couple of days to recover properly from. There is said to be no ill-feeling towards Rousey.
Rousey has become a media darling for the UFC, combining beautiful looks with incredible fighting ability. She is considered one of the founding-mothers of the Women's divisions. Her sudden fame landed her a main-cast role in the movie 'Expendables 3'. Paul Heyman criticised the UFC a year ago for not doing enough to cash-in on her marketability. He also stated that if he was not managing Brock Lesnar, he would be keen on having Rousey as a 'Paul Heyman Girl' in MMA.
