It is being reported that unaired segments from last week’s RAW was leaked onto YouTube.
The first video showed Michael Cole getting into position before the broadcast began. He was listening to instructions through his head seat. He responds to being told that someone would be put through the announce table during the show. He also says “We’re not in Greenville (South Carolina)â€. This was a reference to Vince McMahon’s instruction that smaller towns and cities should not be mentioned on television, even if the show is happening there.
The second video showed some superstars preparing for segment shown on the WWE App. Josh Matthews was backstage with Big E Langston, The Miz and Dolph Ziggler. The superstars were waiting to hear the poll result announcing which one would face Randy Orton in the next match. The video contained some very graphic language from Ziggler.
This is far from the first time unaired footage from episodes of Raw have been leaked online. Due to the way Raw is broadcast, there is occasionally a continuous satellite feed. People with the right equipment can tune into the frequency and watch the entire show without seeing the commercials. The footage rarely reveals anything more than the announcers reacting to being told what the next segment will be.
Amongst previous leaks was an Attitude Era match in which Headbanger Mosh celebrated a match win by spitting into the soft drink can that colour commentator Jim Cornette had been drinking out of. Another showed Michael Cole sitting patiently in the Cole-Bunker while fans chanted that he sucked. After receiving instructions from someone backstage, he picked up a live microphone and cut a short heel promo on the crowd.
