I am sure no-one is surprised to know that Vickie Guerrero is fine. She was never unwell.
Fans saw the SmackDown General Manager collapsing and fainting at different parts of this week's Raw. Vickie also had a match against WWE Diva's Champion AJ Lee.
The reason behind the storyline is to convince fans that AJ Lee really did suffer from dehydration on the UK tour (even though she didn't). During a match with Brie Bella, AJ suddenly collapsed on the apron and hit her head on the floor. The incident became major news over the internet, forcing the WWE to make a public statement on their website. They (inaccurately) claimed that AJ's collapse was the result of dehydration. She was able to work her final match of the tour the next night.
The real reason behind AJ's collapse is unknown. But it is most likely to do with exhaustion. Like several other stars, AJ had been working very long hours on each day of the 2 week tour. It was well known that AJ had been having trouble sleeping on this tour. She has been able to get more rest since the incident. She has obviously been cleared to compete.
The plan was for Vickie to simulate the effects of dehydration. That way, fans would get a "better understanding" of the symptoms, and would become less suspicious of AJ's diagnosis.
The WWE are keen to show that they take care of their performers. This involves hiding any evidence that the WWE lifestyle is bad for their health, apart from occasional injuries. Before anyone asks about wrestlers taking bumps in the ring, the WWE stance is that every WWE performer is trained to withstand and then recover from the physical abuse of receiving these impacts to their bodies. Whenever the WWE does a tour outside of United States or Canada, the superstars tend to work much busier schedules across longer weeks, with more travelling and less rest time. The WWE would rather not have the public know how hard these tours can be on performers.
