First of all, thanks for all the support, I was always encouraged by so many people commenting here despite the long hiatus the save went on. And secondly, I apologize for not keeping in touch during most of the time. It's a long story and I don't wanna bore anyone with details, but basically I moved abroad almost 3 years ago and my new job and settling down in a new country (from America to China is a huge leap, culturally, and the language barrier can be daunting) took up a lot of my time, but I would still work on the save here or there as time permitted.
Now, on to important details: the save as originally intended was more than a bit overambitious, the roster was huge (almost all slots would be shared, plus some), so we have decided to break down the save into smaller pieces.
The first save will be basically themed around what a Virtual Pro Wrestling 3 game would've looked like, using wrestlers and rosters based on the period between 2000 and January 2001. So you can expect to see most of the VPW2 roster + some new faces
- One wrestler per slot
- One arena: Korakuen Hall (as previewed here. A new, even more detailed version is in the works but will not be part of the initial relase)
With the addition of Jordy and self_destruction, and the completion of Jcsix's attire bases, work on the wrestler mods has been going on at a really good pace with all three of us working on individual wrestlers and even collaborating on single mods, and I can't speak highly enough for the quality of work that those three gentlemen have been putting in!
I won't try to put another release date on it, lest unforeseen circumstances come up, but I truly hope we could get some initial release out before the end of the year. The move replacements and move hacks are about 80% done, the arena is 90% done, so really it's just a matter of us working on the roster and interface.
Here are some wrestler mods I've worked on recenty:
Satoshi Kojima
Manabu Nakanishi
Tetsuhiro Kuroda
Nobutaka Araya
Koji Kanemoto
