Sheamus reported on Twitter that former WCW talent Mark Starr has passed away.

Starr was with WCW for several years, but did not garner much success. He has had many high-profile matches against some of the company's biggest names.

Possibly the most famous moment of his career is taking the first Diamond Cutter "out of nowhere". Just before DDP rejected the nWo, he had a quick win over Starr. Starr reacted to the Diamond Cutter by diving through the air before DDP had even attempted the move. DDP innovated by catching Starr's head in the air and still managed to perform the move correctly.

Sheamus claimed that Starr was a major influence in his career, and pressured Sheamus into using the Brogue Kick as a signature move.

I'm not trying to be a dick... but if ANYONE says he was a personal favorite they are lying.

Nonetheless, godspeed, Mike.

Atleast he outlived WCW itself :p
RIP, Mark.

Seeing as I watched him & his brother Chris (Chris Champion) when they started out in Memphis wrestling back in the early 80s when I was a teenager then yes I can honesttly say he was one of my faves. He had some great matches back then.

R.I.P. Mark My prayers go out to Chris & your entire family.

Like I said.. I'm not trying to be a dick.... but if he was one of your favorites... wouldn't he have come up in ONE conversation after about 3 years of talking about wrestling?

Not coming down on anyone's memories or anything, just sayin'...

I understand your point, but seriously how many times here or anywhere has someone said EVERY favourite thing in their life to everyone they know? Wether it be wrestler, music or hell types of food even. I do have my reasons for alot i dont tell people, i just don't go and telleveryone every little detail about me for reasons. If anyone wants to know all they have to do is ask, not going to promise i tell them lol But they are welcome to ask.
