I think we're not asking for something stupid, we're asking for what's meant to be done. Hell, we're not even asking for them to push anyone just because we like them. It's plain simple. I want good quality wrestling in a good quality wrestling show.[/quote]You sound like KWG.

Few things I wanna say: Women's wrestling in WWE has never been good, it's been fucked up for years, and it's gonna get better.

If you didn't know, Moolah is a big reason why the WWE women's wrestling scene is as messed up as it is (do your own research, I'm in college and this is my free time to express, not give you sources :p). In a nutshell, she turned it from serious wrestling into a sideshow and put american women's wrestling back about 30 years until the indies came and fixed 75% of that. You look back at the history of women's wrestling in WWE, it's kinda sad. The 80s era was pretty forgettable, it got canned until 94, then squashed again in 96, came back in 98 and got super slutty.

Yeah I know "WHAT ABOUT TRISH AND LITA AND JAZZ AND CHYNA AND VICTORIA, AT LEAST THEY COULD WRESTLE," but still the other half of the division was eye candy, boner creating, cum inducing, "gotta go online and find some sexy pictures of those bad girls who don't even wrestle because MUH DICK" women. There were girls like Sable, Stacy, Trish (before she got decent), Dawn Marie, and the Diva search girls *shivers* who got a lot of airtime. Only difference was they weren't in the title division, unlike the current era. Trish was eye candy who sucked, then she got better. Lita was ok, Jazz and Victoria were awesome though, but they were always diamonds in the rough and were second fiddle to the "sexy" women. Then things got worse, and by worse, I mean it was basically the same except the slutty parts got cut because, you know, PG, which made the division boring and irrelevant.

Call me crazy, but honestly, I've never been more into divas matches. AJ/Paige, as overplayed as it is, still gets me watching. Nikki and Brie after YEARS of being nothing have turned into somewhat decent wrestlers. Nattie's awesome, no doubt. And NXT owns the crown of the best looks:wrestling skill ratio in mainstream American wrestling ever IMO. I'd date any of those chicks and then hope they put me in their finisher. Can't say that about any other womens/divas era. Still, the division has been suffering from YEARS of the "SHOW US YOUR TITZ DAMMIT" mentality of our wrestling society.

Why do we have to choose between pretty girls who can't wrestle that the crowd won't give a damn about and not-so-attractive women than can wrestle that the crowd won't give a damn about? Why not put two and two together and get four. And thats where NXT comes in. Not all the girls are dropdead gorgeous but they look good and can wrestle when they have time, because the NXT fans give a shit about them. Why give the RAW/SD audience 15 minutes of a divas match if I keep hearing "LOL BATHROOM BREAK TIME" every week? Wrestling fans don't know what they want, and it hurts what we watch. If you aren't getting the porn-like nature of women's wrestling, at least have the damn decency to take 7 minutes out of your day to watch Nattie/Paige on WWE Main Event or Sasha/Bayley on WWE NXT on the WWE Network for $9.99 (or for free, you cheap bastard). I want good women's wrestling on my WWE television too, but it's gonna take a lot more years for the division to get a complete turn-around, and we need to get on it. Screw complaining about Cena/Orton 121 and Roman's super push, make them focus on not making the 8 divas tag match on Raw my second bathroom break. Get to work, people.

Edited it a little to clear up some points. I tend to make rough drafts my only drafts :hi

Now that's a convincing statement.

Yeah, I agree, It's always been like that. Yet that is no excuse. I am certainly not interested in the AJ/Paige feud. Yeah, sure, they are good competitors, but watching them wrestle every single week gets boring, especially since they don't show anything new. Yeah, it's not their fault, It's those movie writers they have that think making a diva act like she's crazy is entertaining. No, it's not, It got old, AJ's been doing it for at least 1 and a half year, and yeah, it suits her, but not everyone can pull it.

With NXT it does look like we have a chance of quality women's wrestling in the future.

I hope that in the future they can hire some Japanese girls, since they do sign Japanese guys. These girls are fucking fearless in the ring.

But yeah... KG has one of the most valid defending points here.

NXT is its third show,
Its Heat
Its Velocity
Its ECW
Its wrestling without limits.

Its polictical they're still holding women back.
How many high up staff are in the closet/deviants/racists? there is to many.
They don't respect them.
The third show is nothing to them, its bronze to them.
Their worst nightmare is a 1st generation, non-porn star African-Mexican Lesbian women main eventing RAW.
Thats fucking disgusting.
But the 3rd show falls through their control.
That is why we have hope and wrestling weekly on easy to watch TV.
Until they close it down when it gets to popular.
But then someone has a "new idea" for a 3rd show and it goes fall circle.

We all want change. Give it time, Vermin needs to go first.

Yep. Time's the thing. I think with Steph playing a bigger role, we're getting to see a lot of progress. Though I wish they would call it the Women's division again, though. It kind of belittles it, at least to me. Maybe it's meant to, now that they days of bra and panties matches are gone. The crowd is behind the Diva's, and there is no denying it.

They also get stuck in the hardest part of the PPV's, most the time. They had to come out after the Streak died at WMXXX, even. They usually manage to ge the crowd into it, so props to 'em. The last PPV we had two different Diva's matches, both good matches, too! I don't know how Nikki is dating Cena and somehow became the better wrestler, but it happened. She's going to get better, too.

I could do with more Natty in the picture, though. Canadian wrestlers always rule, and she hasn't really been showcased, lately.

Politics kept them down, but now there's a woman born of Vince helping run things, and I think the quality of the women's division will continue to stay on par with the men's. Or Superstar's division. What the heck do they even call the men's division?

@S.E.C. AJ/Paige is just barely holding my attention though. I know they want a long and meaningful feud, but it isn't working out. Kinda wanna see Paige get the title and face Emma (SHE NEEDS IT DAMMIT) or even some NXT gals, wouldn't hurt at all.

@Maximo Wrestling has had a really shitty and shady background for years. Racism, sexism, etc. It still exists today because, again, it's a mentality and it's not as easy to break. It's like having your own walk, and someone telling you to change it because it's weird. You've used it for years, and you have to change it just to fit in? Meh, not the best example but I got nothing else. If NXT is what WWE will be when HHH takes over, I can't wait for that day. Remember gents, the future is bright, but patience is the key to unlocking it.

@Keson More Nattie is needed. Best german suplex in the current era next to Brock's. Hell, I can't remember the last time women's moves made my favorites list (Paige's finishers, AJ's lock, Nikki's backbreaker and THAT FUCKING STIFF ELBOW, HOW DID SHE LEARN THAT, Brie using her hubby's moveset which is great since he's still gone :(, and Sasha's finisher combo). No really, if you haven't seen Sasha's finisher, you need to. It's the best finisher in NXT next to Neville's.

Before modern "Queens" rules were introduced, "Boxing" was extremly similar to modern MMA.
You had kicks, throws, punching on ground, submissions.

The change to "just punching" just so happend to come just after a chick started kicking peoples asses.
Everything about English boxing before the rule change also "happens" to be near non-existant.
Probably just a coincidence.

Wrestling no matter the name, has been huge for centuries...fuck it, millenia.
Most Hand to hand Gladiater fights were Pro Wrestling.
Fixed faces and heels, painless but painful looking moves that excited the crowd, costumes, gimmicks/tradenames, masks/helmets so you can work 2 fights in the night and jobbers/untrained slaves.
Every body was a part of it.
Men and Women.
Locals and people from everywhere that could get there, not just slaves.

Do we view history like that? Fuck no.
We get taught male Romans killing male Roman/Slave/Animal/Christian.
Or boxings history is white men in mustaces standing and punching.

Political bullshit to keep people down.
Its not just "Hey improve your walk"
Its "Get to the back of the bus"

ANYONE with a working body can wrestle a good match. Real or Scripted.
Whether they get the oppotunity without being held back or erased from history is a huge problem.

Speaking of which, how good was Jacqueline? Three things held her back; entering the industry at a bad time, her height and being African-American. Had she debuted now, she would become a dominant figure in women's wrestling. But she was never in the right place at the right time. In WCW, there were no women who could match her work-rate, so she had to wrestle with the men. And finding men who were comfortable with taking moves from a woman was tricky. When she was on top in WWE, the women's division were not ready for her. Or she was against Sable. Sable later revealed that she had a stipulation in her contract which said she cannot lose a match, or take a single bump without prior approval.

She was the first woman to ever be rated in the PWI500 list (Chyna and Sara Del Rey are the others). She could do power, technical and hardcore wrestling as well as anybody. And she had a hot body. She will forever be cursed with being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
