While no official comments have been released, the WWE has clearly reacted to the Nancy Grace situation and Eric Young becoming TNA World Heavyweight Champion.
As most fans are aware, Nancy Grace made a lot of tasteless comments and accusations the day after Ultimate Warrior died. She sensationally implied that Warrior's death was steroid related. Her interview with Diamond Dallas Page also featured a list of two dozen wrestlers who died before the age of 45, implying that they all died because of steroid and drug abuse. For at least 9 people on that list, their deaths had nothing to do with drugs or steroids. However, the autopsy eventually revealed that Warrior had died of heart disease, and had no evidence of recent drug or alcohol use.
The general feeling is that WWE management wants a total boycott of Nancy Grace. The WWE will no longer have any involvement with any entity that she is involved with, and expects all current and past employees to do the same. It has been implied that anyone who goes against this will be blacklisted from the WWE, and will never be involved with the company again. There are no bad feelings towards DDP, who had no idea that the interview was about steroid use in wrestling. Many feel that DDP did an amazing job at handling such an unprofessional situation.
Just 4 days after Daniel Bryan won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX, Eric Young won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship on TNA Impact. Like a lot of fans, the WWE have viewed this as a blatant attempt at TNA copying their main storyline. Just like Bryan, Young is a heavy fan favourite with a famous beard, and won 2 matches on the night he claimed the title. However, the similarities actually stop there.
While Young is generally well-liked in both companies, the WWE feels that they are trying to cash in on Bryan's success. They put the title on Young before trying to make him a credible main-eventer. However, it should be noted that the WWE were unsure about Bryan being a positive draw just 3 weeks before WrestleMania. The WWE only included Bryan in such a large role because of fan pressure, and CM Punk not being available.
It should be noted that Young had not been involved with TNA's version of the Authourity story line until he actually won the title. While Young is considered to be small, he is only 15 pounds lighter than previous champion Magnus. He is also much bigger than recent TNA World Champions Austin Aries and Chris Sabin. Also, Young is involved with 2 majorly popular TV shows outside of wrestling. Bryan is loosely involved with Total Divas. Also, Young had been involved with his feud with Abyss months before the current feud between Kane and Daniel Bryan began. Also, Young's title defence against Abyss was announced before the WWE dropped plans for a Bryan vs Randy Orton match at Extreme Rules.
