ClicDev is, in all likelihood, not coming back, so I guess I'm here now.

For those who don't know me: I'm Onslaught Six. I essentially co-founded the No Mercy Zone circa 2004 with Boostfalp and CEX. I was an administrator for a while, got banned, patched things up, became an admin again. I was the one who initiated a lot of NMZ's...draconian policies, partially because all of the admins agreed on it and partially because I was going through a rough bout of depression and taking it out on pretty much the entire forum. It wasn't pretty and I regret running the place like that.

For those who do know me: NMZ started literally a decade ago. If you don't think people can change in that amount of time, you're stupid. We were just kids when we started that forum. We didn't know what the fuck we were doing, and we certainly didn't expect it to basically become the largest No Mercy forum on the entire internet (for a time).

I'm not here to start any shit. I'm not here to cause drama or do any of that. I'm here because, through it all, I still love No Mercy and I still love making things for it.

I don't know what the "standards" are for this kind of shit, and frankly at this point I don't care. The way I mod the game directly relates to the game being good. NM was, to our minds, infinitely modifiable with Gameshark codes and in-game replacements; when textures came out, Stubbs and I were literally sitting around with MSPaint drawing blue all over the Undertaker's face and chest just to see if it worked. (These were the very first NM texture mods ever made.) I saw a way to expand the game and put in things that just simply weren't there, but I still always wanted the game to be No Mercy. Other people didn't share that view, and the "hi-res texture" warfare broke out and in the end, I'm pretty sure my side lost.

In spite of that, I still make stuff occasionally. I'm going to start off by posting some of my old codes that I rescued a few months before NMZ shut down permanently, and then I guess I'll put up my new stuff.

Don't expect a lot; NM is a hobby and it comes and goes for me. My main focus is my music, which is actually not shitty now. So, check that out if you want:

Nice to see ya, man. I was cowboyvenus at NMZ.

Our standards here are actually probably the easiest out of anywhere: Just don't be a jerk to other members. Post what you want, use whatever parts you want (we are completely over the days of internet witch hunts over textures), and if you need any help with anything at all send me a PM, as I have no life and never mind helping peeps get situated here. :)

edit: clickdev is still around, I exchanged emails with the owner, a backup of the NMZ from 2012 still exists, just so ya know.

When they moved the servers they sent all the admins a messege giving them a 3 month notice to either agree to move or have the board deleted, since no one responded and the traffic wasn't high enough, it was deleted.

Meh.

[/quote]Mattitude saying hello. What you said goes without saying and hopefully it happened to a lot more of the folk from 'those days'.

It's nice to see you're still around.

Welcome to OSR O6. I was AKI Man at NMZ. Yeah, I remember you were one of the very few who had the same mindset as we have here. That whole texture stealing shit is so over and we like to help new members and share our work for others to use. Credit is obviously nice though.

Lool forward to seeing some of your old codes here. I am a old skool hacker, so dig dissecting codes and learning new stuff. Enjoy.

Glad to see you, 06.

I was known at one time as Slim, or Slimulation X. I know what you mean about how people change over the years. When i went through a bunch of drama with KKD and got banned I was only 19, now i'm 26. They eventually let me back but the board was deader than roadkill at that point, so I quit going.

As far as I'm concerned you've got a home here. Nobody really cares about old board drama and I never had a beef with you (other than I think My Little Pony is dumb and for girls lol), but you won't catch any drama from me unless you say something stupid and incorrect, and thats about the only time i'm an asshole, cause people do me the same way.

Your hacks and mods will be appreciated around here. Not enough people modding No Mercy, and not much of what gets out is even impressive.

I'm working with Keson/CBV on Showdown 64, which is not dependent on an era. If you're interested, we could probably use your help if you're looking to get involved with anything. I'm pretty much sticking to what I do best, which is arenas. Hit me up with any requests, I have a lot of half-completed stuff on my pc as well as a few arenas that never got released. I also need some poly-point hacks for high-detail arenas I've made to replace the default in-game ones, if you know anything about it. I'm mostly involved with art but I've made a few hacks myself.

You're welcome here man, even I have been getting over old grudges with people and trying to rebuild the community. Old faces are always nice.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everybody. I unfortunately don't remember most of you beyond a quick name check, but don't be upset--I'm awful with names, better with faces, and mostly only remember assholes who gave me a hard time.

Anyway, I've started dumping off a bunch of the old codes I've found in my old cheat files. Maybe it'll be of use to some people.
