Zack Ryder has debuted a new series on YouTube.

The show is called 'Zack Ryder's Last ReZort', and is a blatant attempt to help Ryder get into the main event scene before his contract runs out. Not my words, Ryder actually says so.

Ryder's became one of the company's biggest stars after producing his own YouTube show, 'Z! The True Long Island Story' in 2011. The comedy show was filmed, written, hosted and edited by Zack himself. He made the show with friends, his own father, as well as featuring regular appearances from Dolph Ziggler and John Morrison. Ryder would film the show while at home, or on the road with the company. He would occassionally even film segments in the ring during live WWE shows.

The first show was produced by Ryder who was fed up with being booked as an enhancement talent. Ryder openly admitted that the show was designed to get the attention of WWE Management, whether it was to receive a push or to be released from his contract. After only a month, Ryder quickly became one of the company's most popular superstars with arenas being flooded with members of the 'Ryder Revolution'. At one point, Ryder's merchandise was even outselling John Cena merchandise. Ryder finally received a push at the end of the year, beating Ziggler for the WWE United States Championship.

However, Ryder was immediatly buried. The Raw immediatly after 'TLC - Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2011' had a (typically) low rating, and this was blamed on the current champions for being too small. Punk was WWE Champion, Bryan the World Heavyweight Champion, Cody Rhodes was the Intercontinental Champion, while Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston were the Tag Team Champions. Ryder was the only one punished, being forced to drop the title and buried in a storyline designed to push John Cena for Cena's match against The Rock at WrestleMania 28.

The WWE then launched the new YouTube channel, and instructed Ryder to produce 'Z! True Long Island Story' exclusively on their channel. The show would be heavily edited by the WWE, and Ryder's push became non-existant. Ryder did not get paid a single penny for producing the show for the WWE's YouTube channel, despite fans claiming he had "sold out". Ryder then abandoned the show after the 100th episode, realising that WWE Management would never reward him for making it.

'Last ReZort' is aimed to be a more serious production with the same aims. It can be seen above (credit to TheDoctor for the link).

To be honest, I think he was buried once WWE realized he can't get Cena over. Poor Zack Ryder.

His ring work needs work, but if this means he's going to improve, I welcome it.

Personally, I never thought Ryder to be a great in-ring guy, he's over the way guys like Hogan are, his charisma. He's loaded with creativity and has fantastic ideas, they just need to let him run with them.

Actually, Zack Ryder, compared to quite a number of others is pretty good in ring, it's just that there's a stupid comeback moment all face wrestlers have to use, it's really damn stupid if you asked me.

He needs to drop that retarded gimmick and annoying catchphrases, about Matthew Cardona, the worker,he's really solid,I found unbelievable how he used a tool not even WWE figured out it's current potential to get a short push when the Booking Team had 0 intentions to push or even give him TV time in the main shows.

I like his gimmick and catchphrases, it's what put Z True Long Island story over. Hell, I even have a broski t-shirt.

Yeah. Everyone hates Jersey Shore and that crap. But he kinda makes it all loveable. The industry is full of guys who buy into their own hype and take themselves too seriously (cough, cough, Goldberg, Rock, cough). Zack Ryder marks out for himself, but he does it to poke fun at himself. Like that whole thing about his own father supporting his rivals over his own son. That stuff was gold!

He is a good worker, but he could do with a lot of fine-tuning. Then again, you don't need to be a good worker to become a huge star. Goldberg was simply awful, but he made millions from a really short career. The guy has been in more movies than wrestling lessons, but he is still massively popular 10 years into retirement.

Yeah! He's a loveable, ultimate broski. I'm sure we've all met at least one. I have. Lots.

I loved how he was into boy bands.

I was going through Zack Ryder's videos and I was wondering, aside from not being able to help fans embrace Cena, was it because of his videos getting super low views due to WWE's censorship that cause his push to die?

Because come on, listen to the pop here. And it's on SUPERSTARS.

His push was already dead in the water by the time they moved his show to the official WWE Youtube channel.

Too clean, too pretty, and definitely not the same show, beforehand he didn't have anybody editing him or his ideas.

Latest episode, I kind of like it, I can totally see Ryder selling out to the Authority and being a heel champion in the future:
