I have finally finished version 2 of the weapon system for Showdown. I ended up rewriting a large portion of the original code and I added a few new things too. First of all, I updated the weapon probability codes to work with all of the arenas in Wolfpac_69's 30 arenas project. This allows players to only find weapons like a chair, championship, or ring bell while playing in a modern day WWE arena and at the same time find weapons like a barbed wire 2x4, thumbtacks, or a beer bottle in an ECW arena. Next, I was able to update the arena specific weapon graphics for the new arenas. So, there are now 13 championship belt designs, 5 chair colors, and 5 ladder variations. I also, wrote a few codes that allowed for certain weapons to only activate if a specific wrestler is in the match (Jeff Jarrett and Al Snow). Last, I was able to get the amount of different weapons that could be found in the game up to 22. The new weapons included are a cinder block and a breakable light tube. All that I still need to do before the next release is finish up the new match type menu and add a few more small details. Hopefully, it will be ready sometime over the summer.
In additional news, I finally finished the very tedious task of converting all of the 261 wrestlers' head textures to work with Flashman's non-mirrored head texture ROM.
