Ring Of Honor have joined TNA Wrestling in searching for a new TV network.

We already knew that Destination America had already terminated their deal with TNA Wrestling. The channel will continue to broadcast TNA Impact until the end of this year, and then that is it. But now it seems that RoH's TV deal, which expires at the same time, will not be renewed.

There is no known reason why Destination America is allowing both deals to end. During the Summer, many big names involved with the wrestling industry rubbished claims that TNA would lose their deal. They all said that it didn't make sense because Impact was one of the network's highest drawing shows. However, things took a sudden turn and Impact was nearly taken off the air in September.

The blame is being placed on the network's new General Manager Jane Latman. Latman replaced Matt Etkind, who moved to another network a few weeks ago. The theory is that she is largely behind the decision to drop professional wrestling from their network.

Rumour has it that TNA is currently working on a deal with Sony TV after successfully partnering up for the forthcoming TV tour in India.

I don't know why they haven't tried another medium like Netflix or exclusive online content only. Being on cable Tv really doesn't mean a lot any more.

how would an entity like ROH make money off a service like Netflix? Isn't it a flat rate per month?

Quite honestly, TNA is in trouble. Ring of Honor is not. Before this, TNA had national exposure. Before and after this, Ring of Honor had/has syndicated television. Ring of Honor even being on another channel with a little more exposure for two weeks, would've been a gain and not a negative.

I doubt ROH will merge. Doesn't make sense.

TNA, hopefully, gets a new home. Wouldn't be good for wrestling as a whole.

ROH is fine. They are owned by Sinclair Broadcasting and are still going to be on sinclair stations like they were before the Destination America deal. TNA I understand the sony six deal was worth millions but I wish they would have became a UK promotion and started over.
