The company is going down, and I don't like that. I don't think WWE should keep this just for Cena and Orton. TBH, they both suck and are VERY boring to watch them wrestle.

I dislike spoilers in the title. I don't get to watch Raw until the next day usually, as I am a Hulu user. :(

I don't think enough people are giving as much acknowledgement as they should to the very obvious rocket strapped to Roman Reigns back since Survivor Series.

I love Punk and Bryan, but Reigns is the guy of the future. He's the total package. Not saying he's the best wrestler or stick man, but looking at him from a booking perspective. THAT's the guy of the future.

I do like Reigns though.

I've watched their match and i can tell it was sort of a good match.
Although they could make this match as the SD main event and have Cesaro vs Orton on RAW.
But whatever :)

In fairness to Savage101, this is not a 100% spoiler. It was announced last week that Orton would face all 5 EC opponents in consecutive episodes of Raw and SmackDown. With Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston being cleared last week, it was only inevitable that Orton would face Cena on this or next week's Raw (there was no chance of it being reserved for SmackDown). But it is a partial spoiler as Cena was not the announced opponent prior to Raw beginning.

But everyone else has a point. Orton vs Cena was interesting on the SmackDown after Eddie Guerrero died. This was because they had never faced each other before (in WWE) and was a highly anticipated match. Despite both men being main eventers for around a decade, they have improved developed so poorly. They have had too many matches against one another and have proven that they can't put on a good match together most of those times. So insisting to the WWE audience that they are what they want to see is still insulting.

Ever noticed how Raw seems to pick up in quality when either man is out with an injury?

Well, in the WWE's defense, Orton is perfect bad guy. He really is.

Cena is a perfect good guy. He honestly is.

For some reason, they don't mesh as well as I think they should. Cena and Punk are magic, and Orton can have spectacular matches just about anyone.

But for some reason it doesn't have the magical chemistry. Like Rock and Austin, Flair and Sting. Y'know, those iconic feuds. This should be up with 'em but it isn't for me.

The reason why Cena vs Orton hasn't been a great feud is because they are NOT great performers.

Cena is not the perfect good guy. Despite all the crap about Cena "overcoming the odds", it has become his gimmick. In any given match, Cena has a 75% chance of winning. But when something goes against him, it normally increases his chances of winning. It should be the other way around, otherwise he is not overcoming the odds. The sad thing is, Cena has got what it takes to be a brilliant wrestler. But he retired most of his move set when McMahon started pushing him. Now, whenever he performs a move that he once knew solidly, it just looks sloppy because he hasn't practiced it. Cena is rarely in a situation in which losses matter. So why should we care if "the good guy" wins?

People will boo bad guys who do their job well, or people who just plain suck. People boo Orton because he sucks at his job. Like Cena, he is rarely in a situation in which he is in peril. Many of his losses don't matter, and nor do most of his victories. Now that the WWE is using HD recording equipment, it is easier for fans to spot just how bad he is. He literally stops and shouts across the ring to ask his opponent what they are doing next. Most of his arsenal are chin/head locks or simple stomps and kicks.

I have admitted that both men can pull off good matches. In Cena's case, it doesn't happen nearly enough to warrant his position in the company. In Orton's case, it is extremely rare. He is heavily dependent on having opponents that know how to carry someone. Cena does not know how to carry most opponents, so he can't carry Orton to a good match.

At least Alberto Del Rio has an excuse. He seldom goes a month without having to beat Kofi Kingston, Christian or Sin Cara multiple times. He can put on great matches with these guys, but he has faced and beat them too often to really draw fans into their matches.

You know realize that Orton's best match out of the gauntlet will be from either Bryan, Cesaro, Christian, or Sheamus.

Nothing against the Orton/Cena from RAW, it was actually a decent match, but for gods sake we've seen the match what... 35 times, and 3 over the past 2+ months. There should be a limit on how many matches there should be in a rivalry because I have NEVER seen so many unnecessary matches for one rivalry. Then again, the only thing worse than seeing Orton/Cena is complaining about it. Just don't watch it, nothing lost, nothing gained. :D

@ Rag: Cena may not be a great technician, but he's a hell of a performer. Hell, even Austin, HBK and Bret Hart give him his dues. I think they know more about the business than we do. ;)

He's actually gotten quite good in-ring, his psychology (in my opinion the most important part of any performer) is right up there with Hogan.

Cena is the perfect good guy, but we live in times where that just doesn't work. This shit happened with Hogan and he was smart enough to change his game-plan. It happened with Cena and it seems like he's content to just plow through it.

Wrestling fans are fickle, and most of the time seem to think they know more about the business than the people involved with it. I used to hate on Orton and talk about how much he sucked until my wrestling trainer decided to take me aside and showed me how to take off my mark-goggles.

We, as fans, are entirely too entitled, and we think we know entirely too much. I think it was Raven who said "Those are the best kind of fans, because they think they're so smart, they don't even see the wool over their eyes."

Orton is a phenomenal athlete and performer, he just sucks as a face and on the mic he's pretty meh. To say orton is that terrible in ring is just silly. He isn't the first person to get caught regularly talking on camera. Triple H, Shawn, RIC FLAIR, all these guys did, it just wasn't in the age of the internet, so less fans put them under scrutiny.

I agree with CBV. It's a bit harsh that Orton gets booed because he really sucks. The one post above is that they met each other so many times , so it isn't a big deal. But than again.. None of these 'face offs" would give me goosebumps except Punk vs Bryan . They should push other young stars so in few years we could await for a Rolling vs Ambrose , or Wyatt vs Reings match.
