Tottenham star Gareth Bale scooped both PFA Player of the Year and PFA Young Player of the Year at last night’s award ceremony.

Bale is the first player since Cristiano Ronaldo to claim the double honour and only third in history to claim both awards.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has all but admitted that he is interested in signing Sevilla midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia.

The Frenchman has been earning rave reviews for his displays in Spanish La Liga and has seen his name linked with top European clubs.

It is believed Arsenal are one of the clubs keen on Kondogbia, with Arsene Wenger confirming the Gunners are thinking about the Frenchman.

“I don’t really want to talk about Kondogbia too much because everyone’s after him at the moment,” Wenger told The Sun.

“When you ask ‘Are you also interested?’ what do you expect me to say?”

The 20-year-old is also on the radar of Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City, meaning Arsenal face a real battle for the player’s signature.

Kondogbia may be valued at £17 million, but with Sevilla in serious financial problems he could be available for a lot less in the summer.

Yesterday was a dark day for Newcastle United, as the Magpies were on the receiving end of a 6-0 hammering at home to a Luis Suarez-less Liverpool.

As good as Liverpool were Newcastle were equally poor.

Crossing fingers and hoping that Bale stays and Spurs finish top four and goes to the CL next season.

I hope Bale will never going to Real Madrid. He was one of the English Premier League biggest star, And it was a big loss for the English Premier League if he's going to Real Madrid.

Regarding Bale...

My good friend from work is a avid Tottenham supporter and thinks Bale will stay. Compared to there North London rivals Arsenal, this season has been a success considering everyone was after AVB's head at the beginning of the season and questionable signings in the transfer window. I think Tottenham will finish ahead of Arsenal and Bale will stay. However, with all players, they dream of playing with the biggest clubs of football and all the superstars of football have done that, from the likes of Beckham, Ronaldinhio, Ronaldo, Romario, Zidane etc, but Bale has a family now and comes from strong Welsh connections. If he was to move, it would be either to Man Utd or Man City. English football attracts the best talent and financially Bale would be better off staying in England than heading to Spain as there will be new laws soon to include 70% tax on wages hence why Ronaldo was so pissed and wanted a return to England.

LOL. Ballotelli is such a joker. What a playboy.

Congrats to Dortmund. I honestly felt Real would win at home, but the first leg scoreline was a lot to ask from Madrid to get back in the game.

Barcelona 0 7 Bayern Munich

After a dissapointing first leg for FC Barcelona, the spanish team wasn't so lucky and didn't score a goal in both legs but got defeated yet again 3-0 by the German powerhouse.

What was very suprising is Barcelona's coach didn't even sub Lionel Messi wich was a big suprise and caused major disturbution around the FCB fans.

And Piqué just about added to the disaster when he scored an Own goal.

Here are the goals:

Arjen Robben (Bayern Munich)

Piqué (FC Barcelona) (Own Goal to Bayern Munich)

Muller (Bayern Munich)

Bayern are just a league above all the rest this season in the champions league. They could well be the new powerhouse of European football. I watched the match and it looked like Bayern were playing in the own stadium. Barcelona really have lost that spark since Quadiola left Barca.

Since Pep Guardiola already confirming that he will going to manage Bayern Muenchen at next season, I agree with you that Bayern will be the new powerhouse of European football. Bayern will have Götze and Guardiola at next season, So I think that sooner or later, Bayern will be the powerhouse of European football. Barcelona? I don't think so!

Jose-Mourinho-001-300x180.jpg

Speculation in the Spanish and English press has grown in the last few days that Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is set to return to former-club Chelsea this summer.

He stated after Real’s Champions League semi-final second leg defeat to Dortmund that he wanted to return to somewhere where he is loved, and it is becoming increasing likely that destination is Stamford Bridge.
