It appears that Michael 'P.S.' Hayes has been suspended indefinitely.
Hayes recently took some time off and has not been at WWE events in several weeks. It was reported that he had left to "deal with some personal issues", but nothing specific was ever mentioned. But former creative writer Court Bauer stated in his latest podcast that Hayes was actually suspended indefinitely.
Hayes was suspended for pressuring Rosa Mendes into consuming alcoholic beverages. This came within days of Mendes finishing a 2 month stint in rehabilitation clinic. She was sent home early from a European tour earlier this year as her drinking had gotten out of control. As Mendes had alcohol abuse problems in the past, the WWE paid for her to get treatment. Hayes' antics were considered to be insensitive and he was nearly fired over the incident.
Hayes is best known for being a constant member in the 'Fabulous Freebirds' stable. He has been working for the WWE as an agent for the last 15 years, although he has performed a number of roles including colour commentator on WWF Sunday Night Heat, a booker for SmackDown, and wrestled briefly as Doc Hendrix. He was the top candidate for the 2014 Hall Of Fame (without the Freebirds), but negotiations ended around the same time as his suspension ended.
This is far from the first time that Hayes has been in trouble for his behaviour. Mark Henry and the Great Khali both almost quit due to racist comments made by Hayes, while Bobby Lashley and Krystal Marshall both did for this reason. He was also dropped as the Hardy Boyz first manager when it emerged that he was a negative influence on the rookie Jeff and Matt Hardy. He was one of the staff members responsible for the 2002 'Flight From Hell'. He was once accused of sexual harassment, but was cleared in court.
