After I updated to Project64 2.1, I'm having some issues with it.
Just when I dump and load the new hi-res textures the following two messages pops up:

"Unknown memory action
Emulation now stoped"

"CN64System::EmulationStarting: Exception caught
File: .\N64 System\N64 Class.cpp
Line: 258"

And the screen gets frozen which leaves me no choice but to quit. After I restart Project64, there is the same old textures. This never happened before.

I've also tried the settings in "PJ64 WWF No Mercy Settings" thread but still no luck.

Never heard of this, any cheats selected? Are you using the default plugin?

No cheats. I'm using the Rice Video Plugin 6.1.1 Beta 10.

I'm a little confused now. I thought, only with the Rice plugin you can dump and load textures? How you do that with the default Jabo's Direct3D8 1.7.0.57-ver5 plugin?

The default plugin for 2.1 let's you load/dump textures. It's also the only way to retain shadows on the character models. Makes everything look awesome.

Woah! I never knew that. Just unchecked the Hide Advanced Settings, now I can see the options.

Thanks, bro. You are the man!

Btw, I see in 2.1 there is a new folder created after I dump the textures, but where do I put the hi-res ones? Doesn't seem to load on the same folder.

They do not, load them in the "texture" folder, in a folder named 'WWF No Mercy'. If you don't see one, create it yourself.

I also had that problem but the windows update fixed this and the BSOD for me.

There is this "textures" folder, created a "WWF No Mercy" folder inside it and placed the textures but nothing happened.
Can you post the link to your hi-res folder directory? So, I'll get to know what I'm doing wrong. :p

@KWG I forgot to thank you. That blue screen bug is gone after the update you told me to donwload. :toast: Thanks a ton!

Showdown 64 (Or project 64 root directory) - Textures - WWF No Mercy

Also, double check your directories in settings, sometimes they are off and pointing towards your plugin folder, which is incorrect.

I love you, man! It's working now. My texture location were set to my save folder, that was the problem.

Thanks a lot, dude. :toast:

EDIT: it seems that i had the plugin set different, which was the issue. Sorry for that.

No worries.

A lot of people seem to be making the transition to 2.1 and running into these problems so I'll just pin this.

i have seem to come across a seperate issue. I downloaded the DLC for showdown, and Put the files where needed (i assumed that the sting DLC went into the roster folder, replacing the original sting) but it doesnt seem to have an effect. Did i do something wrong?

I had some of the same problems until "CBV" helped me out with it. I find it to be a lot easier than the old way with 1.6 for the most part. That is after you get the hang of it.

There should be a formula for it in the DLC file.

Turn off "other" hacks in your cheats or else the game will freeze when you leave the smackdown mall. ;)

I'm looking around, but I don't see any load texture option in that plugin, just Dump Textures. I have Forever Indy set in my Textures folder AND in Plugin/GFX/hires_texture as a precaution, but the textures are unchanged. :/
