Former TNA stars Crimson and Pope Dinero may be returning soon.
Crimson was at the One Night Only tapings and teamed up with new signing Drew Galloway. Galloway cut a promo saying that Crimson was back and that they were now a team. It is not known when the show will be broadcast. Crimson had a short run in TNA as Amazing Red's "little brother". He rose to the top-tier quickly and had an undefeated streak that lasted close to 450 days. He briefly held the TNA Tag Team Championship with former star Matt Morgan. For reasons that were never explained, TNA chose not to renew his deal when it expired after just 2 years.
Pope Dinero responded to a tweet from Robbie E, warning him to wait until the TNA tapings in May. This indicates that Dinero may be returning soon. Dinero previously competed in WWE under his real name, Elijah Burke. Despite constant pushing, Burke's inexperience held him back and he was eventually released. He had better success in TNA with his "Black Pope" D'Angelo Dinero gimmick. After a few years with TNA, Dinero had a disagreement with management and asked for his release a few months before his contract was due to expire. Dinero vowed that he would never return to TNA, but it should be noted that most of the management who were around when he left are no longer with TNA. Things may have seemed quiet for him but he has been active on the independent circuits.
Dinero hit a low point 2 years ago when he called for promoters to stop booking Marty Jannetty. This came after both Jannetty and Balls Mahoney botched a stunt that hurt Mahoney and made him physically sick in the ring. Dinero released a written blog and a video calling Jannetty dangerous and unsafe to work with. Quite a lot of Dinero's former colleagues blasted him as a hypocrite because Dinero had a reputation for being unsafe in the ring himself. CM Punk famously stated in an interview that he was glad that Dinero was no longer with WWE because he hated working with him. Dinero was described as always working stiff in the ring, but was also sloppy too, which made him a risky person to work with.
