Honestly I think one of the problems for some of the banned n00b people is that they aren't very good at English. They have a hard time understanding the txt file and they have a hard time reading the rules. When they say something it's often very straight forward with a few words they know which sometimes make it sound more rude than it was meant. This is one thing I believe. I also think they sometimes read the page through google translate.

However there are also a bunch of lazy asses that don't even bother trying.

I only wanted the difference between the files be the change in the arc that made the game stop working. Minimize fault sources...
But do you mean both files have those changes or what?

The only difference is the import to that 108 slot?

Nike, I don't want to sound like a noob but I'm not sure what you're referring to. :( If you mean only the one change which makes the game freezes, I believe that's what I've done (model imported to slot 108 and "lost" in the arc file). The first file works fine and has no model imported to slot 108, while the second is affected by the issue.

By the way, I feel sorry for those who can't express themselves good enough in english. I understand them because english is also not my main language and sometimes I have to verify that I'm expressing myself just fine. I believe I would do better if I attended english classes (I learnt it by myself). But then again, if english is not your main language you can always mention this fact and look for help in a better way. I notice that a lot of kids just plain refuse to write in proper english even if they're from the US/UK. yo dudz wazzup k thx, etc. It barely makes sense.

EDIT:
I just noticed that no slot from 255 - 300 gives any problem. Apparently, the closer to 108 the slot is, the highest is the probability of error. By now I can attest that many slots from 108 - 235 or so are suffering from the issue. Not all of them, of course, but quite a number.

waleedgaber.619

May 1 2012, 07:23:07 PM

So let me get this straight , why does the arc space displayed in the editor decrease when you add attires but when you remove attires it does NOT increase again ?[/quote]It does not decrease when you add an attire slot for wrestler and it does not increase when you remove an attire slot.

However space does decrease when you import a model to the added attire. The editor does not automatically remove info about imported models.

Hey, Nike. I have a question about your editor for 2010. I have the .mtp2 files, but when I try to upload any of these files for a wrestler, nothing happens. No slots become occupied. Do I have to convert them or something?
This sounds strange, are you sure you've done everything correctly?
Followed the installation instructions and everything?

Hey Nike, does you editor support importing selection pics in gim format?
i know it works for mtp2 but i don't know if it supports gim.
i would try it myself but i don't have enough space on my pc to backup my iso if ever your editor crashes the game because it doesn't support gim.

thanks!

If you don't have enough space to backup your iso you should not mod until you have. Also, you really only need to back up the files you edit.

The editor does not care about format of files to import. As long as they are stored the same way in the arc, it will work.

This looks like an absolutely awesome mod! Great work.

I've downloaded all the files from the first page (including the Themes and Titantrons) and I currently have an ISO of the PAL version of the game, which is recommended. I must admit I'm an extreme n00b right now and need some direction on how to get this working? I'm assuming I need to unpack it and copy the mod files over and then repack it to play in the emulator. I'm just a little lost on the process there.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to get me started?

the right direction is to read the rules of the forum, as you might have already did, so download this nike editor and read the readme.txt file inside of your download.
you will find the most important things there.
If you want something that isn't there, check the tutorials in the tutorials section(we have an index with all the tutorials in it), if you stil can't do what you want, post a new topic in the help section.

Actually, sorry about that. I meant to post that in the Legends V1 thread about how to add the updated files to the ISO and for some reason it got posted here. You can delete it you like.

I did try to use svredit_ps2 file to import my first model, but it seems I do not have the files set up in the directory properly because I get this message upon load and then it does not work properly:

I have my .pac files extracted but probably not in the correct directory. Any thoughts on what I may be doing wrong?

ok, this may be posted on the help section.
but as you already posted it here...
you need to put misc.pac and chetc.pac and your svredit_files folder

Nike could you please add a feature that enables you to delete wrestlers or attires , selection screens in a way that will increase arc space ?

The editor error message tells you to " Check if '...'" and "Could not load ..."

Just do it, that's the paths you need to put your files...

I've got a problem here, Nike. Two actually. One is that sometimes when I try to import a model into a "No Model" slot, the model just doesn't add. I think that it was just me accidentally missing the button, but it just doesn't add. When I try adding the model again, it works, but then when I go through the normal motions of rebuilding the .ISO, the game, it flat out doesn't work. It won't load up, freezing on the spinning WWE logo, so I know something happened within the editor. Sometimes this problem really ruins everything. I would have about ten "No Model" slots filled in, but just now I came to one of these error slots and this means I have to start all over again. There is a lot of them too. I know it's just nitpicking, but I would appreciate further testing on the "No Model" slots to see which ones really work and which don't.

My second problem is that some "No Model" slots don't have an AI. This is a huge problem for me because it's not like I'm playing with other people on an emulator, when I play, I play against the CPU. But if the CPU just stands there like an idiot, leaving me to knock him down once and go for a pin fall in five seconds, the whole game wouldn't be worth playing even with all the mods in the world in it. I would also like further testing on the slots which do not have an AI so I know not to use those particular slots. Or maybe there is a way to provide these slots with an AI?

Sorry to complain, Nike. I love your editor, but for this tool to be out for over a year and still be riddled with these bugs, it is of little use for people who are actually serious about modding their games. I would be happy with a list of good, working slots which I don't have to cross my fingers and hope they actually work when I try importing. Again, I am sorry. No offense intended.

Chakan, pay me and I will fix the bugs for you. I would love to have this editor as my full time job but that's not the case. I have work and a life to deal with that actually feeds me and my family. My time is not unlimited you know. I created the bug submission thread so that people could post the bugs they find and I will solve them when and if I get time to do it.

If you had done your own homework you would know that AI have nothing to do with slots, but rather models that aren't converted.

"this means I have to start all over again"
Ever thought of doing frequent file backups of the contents in svredit_files instead???

Also, giving me info like "sometime when I do something, it does not do what it should" is completely worthless to me. I need to know a lot of stuff specified in the bug submission thread so that I have a slight chance to reproduce your problem. You need to specify exactly what you did and under what circumstance.

Feel free to post in the bug submission thread.
