I can only suggest starting from a clean copy of No Mercy that already works and do the "trial and error" approach - adding everything one thing at a time - until you find what is causing your issue.

I've been through all I can think of to help.
This is a problem with emulation, it can get really fiddly, particularly with mods and hacks on top.

Here's a video tutorial of the Music Tool, but it's best to leave this unitl you have the game working: -

got everything going finally. I think lol


34 wrestlers seem right?


right before i start a match it says BUFFER OVERRUN DETECTED.

here is a photo....i was so close i think...

I am also getting the same error message. Got everything else to work including the music.

I'm copying and pasting this from an Error Troubleshooting document I made: -

Buffer overrun detected!

Program: ..... [Path to your Project64.exe]

A buffer overrun has been detected which has corruptd the
program's internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution
and must
now be terminated.

This could be either your system / graphics card struggling to cope with
Rice Plugin and the amount of textures being used.

Or the path to your Project 64 is too long, causing a memory issue.

You can try one of the following, which might or might not help: -

Shorten the path to your hi-res_textures folder.
For example if your hi-res_texture folder is located at:
C:\\Program Files\Emulators\N64\Mods\WWF Legends\Project 64\Plugin\hires_texture\WWF No Mercy

Shorten it to something like:
C:\\Program Files\Project 64\Plugin\hires_texture\WWF No Mercy

Try switching to a different version of Rice Plugin
Note: some of the larger textures will not work using earlier versions.

Under Configure Graphics Plugin / General Options, try switching
Render Engine between DirectX and OpenGL.

Under your preferred configuration tab (Direct X or OpenGL),
select a different combiner type.
Try something more basic like "For Low End Video Cards".

Also try switching the "Depth Buffer Type" to a lower setting.

Under the "Texture Enhancement" Tab,
adjust "Texture Enhancement" to something more basic.
and perhaps also "Enhcancement Control" to something more basic.

Hi on the music tool it says "Loading roster" and nothing happens even when the enabled mod is checked off.

Did you find your offset through Cheat Engine and update the settings file?

I deleted the old one and started from scratch and now it worked. THANK YOU !!!

That's a new one on me.

What do you mean by "it doesn't show up?" Can you show a picture?
Can you get to the Arena Menu?
Are all other menus ok?

There is currently no 2nd attire released for Brutus.

Brutus should be fully available in WWF Legends III.

I feel like I'm really close to gettin it running, but the images are just a bit off. I've attached some examples. Any suggestions? 


I am running it on a mac using the CrossOver app that lets you run windows applications. Hope that's not the problem.

The textures aren't loading.

Have you turned on the Hi-Res textures setting (shown in the Help folder)?

I don't know if there are compatibility issues with Macs, sorry.

Yes I selected "load high res textures if available" under the "Configure Graphics Plugins" settings

And you have your textures folder in the right place?

Do the textures load before the game starts? This is a black screen with white writing scanning through the textures, that lasts for 10 / 20+ seconds.

I didn't have those right, but I put them in the first place and now it's on that loadigg screen. Although taking more like 15+ minutes so far, which seems a little odd. Will let you know if this doesn't work.

Everything was working! But now when I load it up it does the loading of texures, then I end up with a white screen. Any idea what that means?

All i can suggest is check you have the settings as described in the Help Folder and then play around with them.
Look back at the last few pages here to get some tips.

Do you have Project 64 set to run as Administrator and Compatibility for Windows XP or 7?
