Thought Rock obviously doesn't have 33 moves in this demonstration, he didn't in real life, either. This just allows for either smaller, or larger front grapple options across the board.

Incredible hacks. Seeing the possibility of a new blood/bleeding system and SD1/SD2 inspired special system is beyond words.

Yeah, drawing from a lot of the things we like about the newer games. Well, were newer to me, as 2007 was the last new game I bought and played.

Also adding some personal flavor.

AKI is still my favorite but it definitely could use a fresh coat of paint:

Aside from being a bit choppy, the dynamic powerbomb/piledriver is very cool. Your dynamic suplex is flawless.

Thanks! Nothin' a little distance mod would fix, I was just so stoked that it worked I had to share. It's actually structured completely different than the suplex variation, which is the biggest reason I'm happy it worked.

The dynamic suplex uses button activators during the stalling animation. In the game's memory, this technically reads as a completely different move than the ending animation (suplex/brainbuster/front suplex), this powerbomb hack, however, is one move changing it's ending frames and animation literally in real-time, which until a few weeks ago was considered impossible. With this new development in animation stat mods (along with a few other new finds), we're going to be able to have a lot more creative freedom with movesets.

What I'm trying to do is find the repeating/pinning addys in the player map, so I could use this to effectively create chain wrestling. If I can figure it out expect a lot of new things.

edit: Distance mods weren't needed, just a better starting animation, both the super snap powerbomb and the jacknife powerbomb have setups that won't have those jumps:

is it possible to throw the opponent when on the turn buckle out of the ring? also, what about the famous Bret Hart Sharp Shooter around the pole?

This is really cool. Everything you guys have shown so far blows my mind. I remember back in 2006 I thought Forever Indy was as good as No Mercy mods were going to get but with each year people just keep finding more and more ways to do really awesome, innovative shit with this game.

are cm punk and triple h considered "unlockables"? also, why ricky steamboat of all wrestlers? are tiger mask AND misawa necessary? couldn't tiger mask be an alternate costume for misawa? seems redundant? given the wonderful depth of attire options previewed, i think wrestlers who have evolved their look distinctly over time would be better additions (undertaker, kurt angle, daniel bryan, chris benoit, mick foley).

i definitely don't mean to diminish the innovative work being displayed here, this is an epic project! thanks guys.

Because Ricky Steamboat is one of the GOATS and there were several tiger masks with the original wrestling vastly different from misawa. also its his save and he can add whoever he likes. for all you know he could be planning on adding those guys in at a later date.

Misawa is Tiger Mask 2. Completely different person. Two extremely important figures of Japanese wrestling, and I enjoy both of their work and I have a high respect for both of their legacies.

Why Ricky Steamboat? Because he's arguably one of the greatest of all time, and one of my absolute personal favorites. His in-ring work is unparalleled, his storytelling unmatched, and the sheer number of people who ever worked with him all say the same thing: He was my favorite guy to work with in the ring. No one could sell like Ricky Steamboat, NO ONE. He could make you believe he was fucking dying out there, and I adore him for it.

Did I also mention that a post about Ricky Steamboat 3 years ago on Generation Hex was the inspiration for this new grappling/special system? So yeah... he's pretty important to this project. The first ever moveset enhancements I ever wrote were for Ricky.

I will not be saying who is unlockable and who isn't.

Wrestlers that have not been slated on the first release may end up being dlc, like Showdown. I'm pretty sure I already stated this. Complaints about the roster seem really pointless. Especially since I've stated multiple times in this thread that a creator's kit will also be released.

Since I already asked the last guy to lay off the requests, I'll say it again: Please let us make our project in the vision we have for it.

@Tyler Black: Though I am a key contributor on this project, it is by no means "my save". This is a body of work that could have only happened by multiple talented people working together. I couldn't do this alone, I am extremely lucky and grateful to have others helping me with this, as I have always wanted to make a game with the gameplay updated more than it has in the past.
