Misawa is Tiger Mask 2. Completely different person. Two extremely important figures of Japanese wrestling, and I enjoy both of their work and I have a high respect for both of their legacies.
Why Ricky Steamboat? Because he's arguably one of the greatest of all time, and one of my absolute personal favorites. His in-ring work is unparalleled, his storytelling unmatched, and the sheer number of people who ever worked with him all say the same thing: He was my favorite guy to work with in the ring. No one could sell like Ricky Steamboat, NO ONE. He could make you believe he was fucking dying out there, and I adore him for it.
Did I also mention that a post about Ricky Steamboat 3 years ago on Generation Hex was the inspiration for this new grappling/special system? So yeah... he's pretty important to this project. The first ever moveset enhancements I ever wrote were for Ricky.
I will not be saying who is unlockable and who isn't.
Wrestlers that have not been slated on the first release may end up being dlc, like Showdown. I'm pretty sure I already stated this. Complaints about the roster seem really pointless. Especially since I've stated multiple times in this thread that a creator's kit will also be released.
Since I already asked the last guy to lay off the requests, I'll say it again: Please let us make our project in the vision we have for it.
@Tyler Black: Though I am a key contributor on this project, it is by no means "my save". This is a body of work that could have only happened by multiple talented people working together. I couldn't do this alone, I am extremely lucky and grateful to have others helping me with this, as I have always wanted to make a game with the gameplay updated more than it has in the past.
